«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.
vz.ru–ն «Սենատոր Կլիմով. Հայաստանը գնում է Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլիի ժամանակվա Վրաստանի ճանապարհով» վերնագրով հոդվածում գրում է, թե ՌԴ Սենատի արտաքին հարաբերությունների հանձնաժողովի փոխնախագահ Անդրեյ Կլիմովը vz.ru-ի հետ զրույցում ասել է. «Ամերիկյան իշխանությունների նպատակը, ինչպես իրենք են բացահայտ ասում, Ռուսաստանին զսպելն է։ Եվ Եվրամիությունը հիմա նույն նպատակն է հետապնդում։ Չեմ հասկանում, թե ինչո՞ւ է դա պետք Հայաստանին և հայ ժողովրդին: Ըստ էության, հիմա խոսքն այն մասին է, որ քանդվում է հայոց պետականության ու տնտեսության հիմքերը, և դա ուրախության ալիք է առաջացնում ԱՄՆ-ում և ԵՄ-ում։ Հայաստանում ապրող մարդիկ պետք է մտածեն, թե ո՞ւր են իրենց տանում»։
Նա նաև նշել է, որ Եվրահանձնաժողովի ղեկավար Ուրսուլա ֆոն դեր Լեյենը Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի հետ համատեղ ասուլիսում ողջունել է Երևանի ջանքերը՝ կանխելու Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության դեմ պատժամիջոցների շրջանցումը։ Այդ կապակցությամբ սենատորն ընդգծել է, որ Ռուսաստանի դեմ պատժամիջոցներն անօրինական են, և «ուրախանալ նրանով, որ ինչ-որ մեկը կատարում է այդ պատժամիջոցները, ինքնին շատ բանի մասին է ասում»:
«Հայաստանն այժմ դե յուրե ԵԱՏՄ անդամ է։ Սա պարզապես մաքսային միություն չէ, այլ շատ լուրջ կառույց, որն ապահովում է ազատ առևտուր և աշխատաշուկա։ Ըստ ամենայնի, Հայաստանում ուրախ են, որ ԵԱՏՄ որոշ սկզբունքներ կարող են չպահպանվել։ Դա տարօրինակ է, ինչ-որ վամպիրային շքահանդես է»,- ասել է Կլիմովը։ Զրուցակիցը նաև կարծում է, որ Հայաստանն այժմ գնում է Միխեիլ Սահակաշվիլիի ժամանակվա Վրաստանի և ներկայիս Ուկրաինայի ճանապարհով։ «Հայաստանը՝ Փաշինյանի գլխավորությամբ, քայլում է դեպի պատմության փակուղի: Այնպիսի տպավորություն է, որ Վաշինգտոնում որոշ պաշտոնյաներ փորձում են վերջ դնել հայկական պետականությանը: Հետաքրքիր է՝ նրանք գիտակցո՞ւմ են դա, թե՞ ոչ։ Եթե նրանք հասկանում են, ուրեմն դա նման է պետական դավաճանության, իսկ եթե չեն հասկանում, ուրեմն դա շատ վատ է»,ասել է սենատորը։
