Ինչպես և սպասելի էր, Ազգային ժողովում երեկ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև սահմանազատման և սահմանագծման հարցերի քննարկումը իշխանությունը տարավ դեպի դռնփակ նիստ։
Թեև քննարկման նախաձեռնող ընդդիմությունը պնդում էր, որ նիստը պետք է կայանա դռնբաց, «Քաղաքացիական պայմանագիրն» ամեն ինչ արեց, որպեսզի փակ նիստում քննարկումներ լինեն, ավելին, ՔՊ-ից մեկ պատգամավորի և «Հայաստան» դաշինքից գրեթե մեկ տասնյակ պատգամավորների թույլ չտվեցին մասնակցել այդ քննարկմանը՝ նշելով, թե նրանք գաղտնիության թույլտվություն չունեն։
Ի վերջո, ընդդիմադիր պատգամավորները կաշկանդված էին փակ հանդիպումից մանրամասներ չհայտնելու, բայց նշեցին, որ նիստին մասնակցող փոխվարչապետ Մհեր Գրիգորյանի և արտգործնախարար Արարատ Միրզոյանի դիրքորոշումները տարբեր հարցերում հակասում են իրար։
Մասնավորապես` երեկ, Մհեր Գրիգորյանը, խորհրդարանում լրագրողների հետ զրույցում նշել էր, որ դեռևս սահմանազատումը Տավուշից սկսելու որոշում գոյություն չունի, իսկ բոլոր հարցերը քննարկվելու են մեկ փաթեթով և ամբողջական կոնսենսուսի պետք է արժանանա։
ՔՊ ներկայացուցիչները Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի գլխավորությամբ` ընդհակառակը, հանրությանը պարտադրում են օր առաջ լուծել Տավուշի 4 գյուղերի հարցը՝ սպառնալով, որ հակառակ դեպքում պատերազմ կսկսվի։
Մարտի 18-ին, դեռ Ոսկեպարում Փաշինյանը պնդում էր, որ եթե մինչև շաբաթվա վերջ գյուղերը չհանձնեն, ապա պատերազմ է լինելու։ Անցել է գրեթե 3 շաբաթից ավելի և պատերազմ չի սկսվել, ավելին, Մհեր Գրիգորյանի հայտարարությունը հակասում է Փաշինյանի ասածին։
Ավելի վաղ կարծիք էինք հայտնել, որ իշխանությունները սահմանազատման և սահմանագծման հարցերը փորձում են թողնել Մհեր Գրիգորյանի պատասխանատվության տակ` վերջինիս հայտարարելով Ռուսաստանի գործակալ:
Ըստ ամենայնի, Գրիգորյանը հասկացել է իր գլխի գալիքը և սլաքներն ուղղում է դեպի իր վերադաս` Փաշինյանը։
