Երևանում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության դեսպանությունը հայտարարություն է տարածել, որը ներկայացնում ենք ստորև․

«Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության պաշտպանական եւ համաչափ գործողությունները եւ գրավյալ Պաղեստինում որոշ ռազմական օրինական կենտրոնների թիրախավորումը իրականացվել է պաշտպանության իրավունքի շրջանակներում՝ ՄԱԿ-ի կանոնադրության 51-րդ հոդվածի համաձայն եւ ի պատասխան սիոնիստական ռեժիմի ռազմական հարձակման, դիվանագիտական անձեռնամխելի վայր հանդիսացող Դամասկոսում Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության հյուպատոսության թիրախավորման եւ ահաբեկչական խմբավորումների դեմ պայքարելու նպատակով Սիրիայի կառավարության հրավերով Սիրիայում ներկա գտնվող ԻԻՀ ռազմական խորհրդատուների նահատակման։

Սիոնիստական ռեժիմի գործողությունը ՄԱԿ-ի կանոնադրության եւ միջազգային կոնվենցիաների խախտում էր, որն արժանացավ բոլոր երկրների եւ միջազգային կազմակերպությունների անմիջական արձագանքին եւ խիստ դատապարտմանը։ Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության՝ օրինական պաշտպանության իրավունքի իրացման գործում պաշտպանական միջոցների դիմելը զսպող միջոց է եւ ցույց է տալիս Իրանի պատասխանատու մոտեցումը տարածաշրջանային ու միջազգային խաղաղության եւ անվտանգության նկատմամբ, իսկ Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետության եւ նրա շահերի դեմ ցանկացած նոր արկածախնդիր եւ անխոհեմ գործողության հետեւանքների պատասխանատվությունը կուղղվի սիոնիստական ռեժիմին եւ նրա աջակիցներին։

Իրանի Իսլամական Հանրապետությունը վերահաստատելով իր հավատարմությունը ՄԱԿ-ի կանոնադրության եւ միջազգային իրավունքի սկզբունքներին եւ նպատակներին՝ ընդգծում է իր հաստատակամությունը՝ վճռականորեն պաշտպանելու իր ինքնիշխանությունը, տարածքային ամբողջականությունը եւ ազգային շահերը ցանկացած անօրինական ուժի եւ ագրեսիայի դեմ»։
