Армения продолжает оставаться знаменосцем в вопросе предотвращения геноцидов. Об этом на внеочередном заседании Национального Собрания во время обсуждения законопроекта о внесении дополнений в закон «О праздниках и памятных днях Республики Армения» заявил 16 апреля вице-спикер парламента от правящей партии «Гражданский договор» Акоб Аршакян.
По его словам, Армения не желает, чтобы кто-либо в мире подвергался преследованиям из-за религиозной принадлежности, языка, цвета кожи или инакомыслия, не говоря уже о геноциде.
«Мы выражаем солидарность с езидским народом. Мы выражаем наши соболезнования как народ со схожей судьбой. Своим сегодняшним решением мы озвучим послание о любви и терпимости. Мы не хотим, чтобы кто-либо в мире подвергался преследованиям из-за религиозной принадлежности, языка, цвета кожи или инакомыслия, не говоря уже о геноциде. Мы также выражаем слова осуждения», - сказал Аршакян.
Он подчеркнул: Республика Армения всегда выступала знаменосцем в вопросе осуждения и предотвращения геноцидов на различных международных площадках.
