Мэр Пасадены, штат Калифорния, США Виктор М. Гордон объявил 24 апреля Днем памяти жертв Геноцида армян. 

«Арменпресс» передает об этом, со ссылкой на сообщение в журнале Pasadena Now. 

«Мы, как сообщество, считаем уместным объединиться и присоединиться к нашим армянским братьям и сестрам, чтобы вспомнить их погибших предков и подтвердить, что этот ужасный акт не должен повториться», - сказал мэр Гордон на заседании городского совета 15 апреля. 

Член Армянской коалиции Пасадены Погос Пататян отметил: «Хотя мы помним прошлое, но давайте также посвятим себя построению большего будущего как свидетельства несгибаемого духа человечества».
