ԱՄՆ-ն չի տեսել որևէ վկայություն առ այն, որ ՌԴ-ի զինծառայողները ներդրում ունենան Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանում ավելի կայուն և խաղաղ իրավիճակի հաստատման հարցում. այս մասին ճեպազրույցում ասել է Պետքարտուղարության փոխխոսնակ Վեդանտ Պատելը՝ մեկնաբանելով օկուպացված Արցախից ՌԴ խաղաղապահ զորակազմի դուրսբերման գործընթացի մեկնարկը:
«Ինչպես գիտեք, մենք կողմ չենք հանդիսանում բանակցված եռակողմ պայմանավորվածությանը, որը 2020 թվականին դադարեցրեց մարտերը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում և ռուսական զորքեր տեղակայեց այդ տարածաշրջանում։ Անկեղծ ասած, մենք չենք տեսել որևէ բան, որը ցույց տա, որ Ռուսաստանի զինված ուժերը նպաստում են ավելի խաղաղ և կայուն Հարավային Կովկասի տարածաշրջանին, և անցյալ աշնանը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում տեղի ունեցած իրադարձությունները ակնհայտորեն մատնանշում են այդ կարևոր փաստը կամ օրինակ այն, որ Ռուսաստանը վստահելի դաշնակից կամ գործընկեր չէ», - ասել է Պատելը:
Նա նաև հավելել է, որ Վաշինգտոնը վճռականորեն աջակցում է Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի՝ կայուն և արժանապատիվ խաղաղության հասնելու ջանքերին:
Նախօրեին Ադրբեջանի նախագահի օգնական Հիքմեթ Հաջիևը հայտնել է, որ ռուս խաղաղապահներին դուրս բերելու որոշումը կայացրել են երկու երկրի՝ ՌԴ-ի և Ադրբեջանի բարձրագույն ղեկավարությունները։
«Հիմք ընդունելով 2020 թվականի նոյեմբերի 10-ին ստորագրված Եռակողմ հայտարարությունը՝ երկու երկրի բարձրագույն ղեկավարությունները որոշում են կայացրել «Ադրբեջանի տարածքում» (չակերտները՝ Tert.am) ժամանակավորապես տեղակայված Ռուսաստանի Դաշնության խաղաղապահների՝ «մեր երկրի տարածքից» (չակերտները՝ Tert.am) վաղաժամկետ դուրսբերման մասին։ Գործընթացն արդեն սկսվել է, Ադրբեջանի և Ռուսաստանի պաշտպանության նախարարությունները համապատասխան միջոցներ են ձեռնարկում այս որոշումը կյանքի կոչելու համար»,- ասել է Հաջիևը։
