Ապրիլի 26-ի երեկոյան իրավիճակը Կիրանց գյուղի ճանապարհի փակ հատվածում լարվեց. բնակիչները կամուրջի հատվածում նկատեցին, որ, ըստ հրապարակված քարտեզի, ադրբեջանական կողմին անցնելիք հատվածից առանց պետհամարանիշի, մգեցված ապակիներով մեքենա է փորձում դուրս գալ։ Ճանապարհը փակած տեղացիները, կասկածելով, որ նրանք քարտեզագիրներ են, արգելափակեցին մեքենայի մուտքը՝ թույլ չտալով դուրս գալ։ Ոչ միայն չկար պաշտոնական պարզաբանում, այլև տեղում հավաքաված ողտիկանները լրատվամիջոցներին թույլ չտվեցին մոտենալ։ Տեղում գտնվող Տավուշի մարզպետ Հայկ Ղալումյանն էլ մարդկանց համոզում էր ազատել մեքենայի ճանապարհը՝ հայտարարելով, որ մարդիկ իբր թե եկել է խնդիրները գույքագրելու։
Այնուհետև ամենատարբեր կասկածներ հայտնվեցին այդ խորհրդավոր մեքենայի ու նրա մեջ գտնվող անհայտ անձանց մասին. անգամ կարծիք եղավ, որ նրա մեջ եղել են ադրբեջանցիներ, ըստ որոշ հայտարարություննի՝ մեքենայում են գտնվել նաև Մհեր Գրիգորյանն ու Շահին Մուստաֆաևը:
Yerkir.am-ին հասած բացառիկ տեղեկությունների համաձայն՝ մեքենայում գտնվել են նաև ՀՀ ԶՈՒ ԳՇ ռազմատեղագրական ծառայության պետ, փոխգնդապետ Սերգեյ Հովսեփի Պետրոսյանն ու իր տեղակալը: Նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանը և ՀՀ ԶՈՒ գլխավոր շտաբի պետ Էդվարդ Ասրյանը, փաստորեն, նաև փոխգնդապետ Սերգեյ Պետրոսյանի ստորաբաժանումներն են ներքաշել են հող հանձնելու պրոցեսի մեջ՝ խաղալով բանակի հեղինակության հետ։
Հիշեցնենք՝ փոխգնդապետ Սերգեյ Պետրոսյանը ստորագրել էր Հայաստանի Զինված ուժերի գլխավոր շտաբի 2021 թ. փետրվարի 25-ի հայտարարության տակ, որով պահանջվում էր վարչապետ Նիկոլ Փաշինյանի եւ կառավարության հրաժարականը: Ըստ տեղեկությունների՝ Սերգեյ Պետրոսյանի ծառայության 20 տարին արդեն լրանում է, թոշակի գնալու շատ քիչ է մնացել:
