Пакистан и Иран достроят газопровод вопреки предупреждениям США

Заместитель премьера Пакистана, глава министерства иностранных дел Исхак Дар выразил уверенность в достройке магистрального газопровода «Мир» с Ираном, несмотря на предостережения США.
«США заявили, что не поддерживают реализацию проекта газопровода Пакистан-Иран и предупредили о риске санкций при ведении бизнеса с Тегераном. Мы должны руководствоваться собственными интересами и действовать в соответствии с ними, независимо от того, что говорят США или другие страны», - цитирует выступление Дара на пресс-конференции в Исламабаде газета Dawn.
Пакистан не уступит никакому диктату. «Пакистан - суверенное государство, мы уважаем суверенитет других стран и ожидаем, что и они будут уважать суверенитет Пакистана», - подчеркнул он.
Ранее правительство Пакистана дало высокую оценку состоявшемуся в апреле официальному визиту в Исламабад президента Ирана Эбрахима Раиси, в ходе которого обсуждалась достройка газопровода «Мир», несмотря на геополитические проблемы и возможные американские санкции.
