Այսօր Ալմաթիում կշարունակվեն Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի ԱԳ ղեկավարներ Արարատ Միրզոյանի և Ջեյհուն Բայրամովի բանակցությունները, որոնք մեկնարկել էին երեկ՝ Բարեկամություն տուն կոչվող հաստատությունում։

Հիշեցնենք, մայիսի 10-ին կայացած հանդիպումը տևել է ավելի քան 4 ժամ։ 
Արարատ Միրզոյանը բանակցությունների շրջանակում հայտարարեց, որ Ադրբեջանը չպետք է սահմանափակվեն խաղաղության պայմանագրի ստորագրմամբ․ «Մենք կարող ենք ավելի հեռուն գնալ ՝ ապաշրջափակելով տարածաշրջանի բոլոր տրանսպորտային կոմունիկացիաները»։ Հայաստանի արտգործնախարարը հավաստիացրեց, որ Երևանը հակված է խաղաղության ու խաղաղության պայմանագրի համաձայնեցմանը․ «Մենք բանակցային գործընթացում ներգրավված ենք շատ կառուցողական»։

Բայրամովն իր հերթին համոզմունք է հայտնել, որ բանակցությունները շատ օգտակար կլինեն հայ-ադրբեջանական հարաբերությունների կարգավորման համար․ «Հուսով եմ, որ մեզ կհաջողվի լավ աշխատել այս երկու օրը, որպեսզի հանգուցալուծում գտնենք դեռևս գոյություն ունեցող խնդրահարույց հարցերի շուրջ»։ Բաքվի դիվանագետի պնդմամբ, վերջին բանակցությունների կարևոր տարրը արձանագրություն ստորագրելու փաստն է, որը սկիզբ դրեց հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանազատման գործընթացին: Ադրբեջանում, ըստ Բայրամովի, հատուկ ուշադրություն են դարձնում այդ գործընթացին։

Նա նաև նշել է, որ այս պահին համատեղ ջանքերով ականազերծվել են համապատասխան տեղամասերը, հստակեցվել են աշխարհագրական կոորդինատները: Այդ հատվածում գրեթե ավարտվել է սահմանային սյուների տեղադրումը։
