Ֆիլիպիններում դպրոցահասակ երեխաները ստիպված են լողալ աղբով լի ջրում, որպեսզի կարողանան վերամշակման ենթակա որևէ իր գտնել, գրում է Daily Mail-ը։

Մայրաքաղաք Մանիլայից դեպի հյուսիս գտնվող Նավոտաս քաղաքում նրանք հիմնականում գտնում են պլաստիկ շշեր և կիսաթանկարժեք մետաղներ, որոնք վաճառում են հատուկ ընդունման կետերում, որտեղից վերամշակման ենթակա նյութերն ուղարկվում են Չինաստան։

Մի շարք կազմակերպություններ անհանգստացած են տեղի ունեցող իրավիճակով և արդեն զգուշացրել են երեխաների ընտանիքներին, որ նրանց չուղարկեն աղբավայր, քանի որ երեխաները կարող են ձեռք բերել մի շարք լուրջ առողջական խնդիրներ, ինչպես, օրինակ, թոքաբորբ, աղիքային վարակներ և տուբերկուլյոզ։

Երեխաները կարողանում են իրենց հավաքած նյութերը հանձնել և դրա դիմաց վաստակել ոչ ավելի քան 1500 դրամին համարժեք գումար։
