«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Աշխարհում փրփրուն գինիներ շատ կան, բայց այս շամպայնը համարվում է շքեղության և նուրբ ճաշակի խորհրդանիշ, էտալոն: Խոսքը Krug շամպայնի մասին է, որն ունի ամենաբարդ համը: Չնայած այս ապրանքանիշն այնքան հայտնի չէ, որքան, ասենք, Dom Perignon-ը, սակայն նրա արտադրանքի ավելի քան 90 % -ը արտահանվում է: Աշխարհի ամեն անկյունում ամենահարուստ մարդիկ հիանալի գիտեն, թե որ շամպայնն է լավագույնը: Այդ խմիչքի արտադրության բոլոր գաղտնիքները խնամքով փոխանցվում են սերնդեսերունդ, և Կրուգի ընտանիքը դեռ պահում է նոթատետրը ապրանքանիշի հիմնադիր Յոհան-Ժոզեֆ Կրուգի գրառումներով: Ո՞րն է այդ շամպայնի էությունը: Ինքը՝ Յոհան-Ժոզեֆը ենթադրում էր, որ դա հաճույքն է:

Բացի այդ, նա վստահ էր, որ հնարավոր է ստեղծել հիանալի գինիներ՝ անկախ գինեգործության սեզոնից: Ֆրանսիացի գինեգործները հակառակն էին կարծում և միշտ հաշվի էին առնում այն, թե ինչպիսին է բերքը: Ժոզեֆ Կրուգը ծնվել և մինչև 25 տարեկանը ապրել է Գերմանիայում՝ Մայնց քաղաքում: Որպես մսագործի որդի՝ նա ոչ մի կապ չի ունեցել գինու հետ: Սակայն 25 տարեկանում նա տեղափոխվել է Ֆրանսիա: 1834 թվականին (Ժոզեֆն այդ ժամանակ 34 տարեկան էր) աշխատանքի է ընդունվում Jacquesson ընկերությունում, որը շամպայնի ամենահին արտադրողն էր: Նրա առաջին պաշտոնը եղել է հաշվապահ: Շատ արագ Ժոզեֆը մտերմացել է ընկերության ղեկավար Ադոլֆ Ժաքսոնի հետ և սկսել նրանից սովորել գինեգործության գաղտնիքները: Ութ տարի շարունակ Կրուգը ուսումնասիրել է այդ արհեստի բոլոր բարդությունները՝ սկսած խաղող աճեցնելուց մինչև պատրաստի արտադրանքը:

1841 թվականին Կրուգ և Ժաքսոն ընտանիքները բարեկամացել են. Ժոզեֆն ամուսնացել է Ադոլֆ Ժաքսոնի քենու հետ: 2 տարի անց, գտնելով անհրաժեշտ գումարը, Կրուգը հիմնել է իր սեփական Krug & Cie ընկերությունը Ռեյմս քաղաքում: Ռեյմսը շամպայն-գինեգործության կենտրոնն է: Սակայն երկու տարի շարունակ Կրուգը և նրա գործընկերը զբաղվել են բացառապես գինու առևտրով: Այդ ընթացքում Ժոզեֆը վերջնական պատկերացում է կազմել այն մասին, թե ինչպիսին պետք է լինի շամպայնը: Նրա սկզբունքներից մեկն այն է եղել, որ պետք չէ մի քանի տարի սպասել ցանկալի խաղողի բերքի: Էքստրա դասի շամպայն կարելի է պատրաստել ամեն տարի՝ պայմանով, որ ձեզ հաջողվի գտնել Շամպայնում ծնված տարբեր գինիների կատարյալ համադրությունը: Ժոզեֆը գործնականում ապացուցել է իր գաղափարի կենսունակությունը՝ մի քանի տարի շարունակ ամենօրյա ռեժիմով համտեսելով բոլոր տեսակի գինիները՝ կատարյալ ծաղկեփունջ ստեղծելու համար:

Կրուգ ընտանիքի հաջորդ սերունդները, որոնք ևս առանձնացել են կատարելագործման իրենց ունակություններով, Krug ապրանքանիշը հասցրել են գինեգործության գագաթնակետին՝ ստեղծելով ամենակատարյալ փրփրուն գինիները, որոնք ունեն իրենց երկրպագուները և ընդունված են ամենանուրբ գիտակների կողմից բառացիորեն ամբողջ աշխարհում:
