Ուղղաթիռի վթարը, որի հետևանքով զոհվեց Իրանի նախագահ Էբրահիմ Ռայիսին, կարող էր լինել Իսլամական Հանրապետությունում իշխանության համար ներքաղաքական պայքարի հետևանք։ Այս մասին ասվում է թուրքական Hurriyet թերթի հրապարակման մեջ։

Հրատարակության սյունակագիր Աբդուլքադիր Սելվիի խոսքով՝ Իրանում իշխանության համար պայքար է ընթանում՝ կապված գերագույն առաջնորդ Ալի Խամենեիի ծեր տարիքի հետ։ 

Ռայիսին, նրա կարծիքով, այս պաշտոնի ամենահավանական հավակնորդներից մեկն էր, սակայն Խամենեիի շրջապատը ցանկանում է որպես նրա իրավահաջորդ տեսնել հոգեւոր առաջնորդի որդուն՝ Մոջթաբա Խամենեիին։
Թուրք վերլուծաբանը պնդում է, որ օդային աղետի մեկ այլ վարկած կարող է կապված լինել այն բանի հետ, որ Ռայիսին հանդես է եկել Ադրբեջանի հետ մերձեցման օգտին։

Հատկանշական է, որ չնայած պաշտոնական երկուստեք հայտարարություններին՝ Թեհրանի ու Բաքվի միջև հարաբերություններն այնքան էլ հարթ չեն․ դրանք կապված են Սյունիքի մարզում հայ-ադրբեջանական սահմանի նկատմամբ վերահսկողություն սահմանելու՝ Ադրբեջանի մտադրության դեմ Իրանի կոշտ դիրքորոշմամբ։

Բացի այդ, անցյալ տարվա հունվարին Թեհրանում զինված հարձակում տեղի ունեցավ Իրանում Ադրբեջանի դեսպանատան վրա, որի հետևանքով զոհվեց դիվանագիտական ներկայացուցչության թիկնազորի պետը։ Դրանից հետո Բաքուն կոշտ մեղադրանքներ հնչեցրեց իրանական իշխանությունների հասցեին և հայտարարեց դեսպանատան գործունեության դադարեցման մասին։

Այդուհանդերձ, հավելենք, որ Ռայիսին, Իրանի ԱԳ նախարար Աբդոլլահիանն ու ԻԻՀ պատվիրակության մյուս անդամները զոհվել են Ադրբեջանից վերադարձի ճանապարհին։
