«Փաստ» օրաթերթը գրում է.

Այսօր խանութների դարակներում կարելի է գտնել մեծ քանակությամբ գինիներ այն երկրներից, որոնց դժվար է դասակարգել որպես ավանդական գինեգործական շրջաններ: Դրանք են Արգենտինան, Նոր Զելանդիան և Չիլին: Այդ երկրներում գինեգործական ընկերությունները վաղուց գոյություն ունեն, բայց նրանք համեմատաբար վերջերս են սկսել գրավել միջազգային շուկան, և պետք է ասել, որ դա անում են բավականին հաջող։ Վառ օրինակ է չիլիական գինի արտադրող Concha Y Toro ընկերությունը և նրա ամենահայտնի ապրանքանիշը՝ Casillero del Diablo գինին, որը կարելի է գտնել ավելի քան 130 երկրում: Casillero del Diablo-ն բարձրորակ և միևնույն ժամանակ մատչելի գինի է (միջինը մեկ շիշն արժե 8 դոլար): Հատկանշական է, որ Concha Y Toro ընկերությունը համաշխարհային գինի արտադրող տասը խոշորագույն արտադրողներից մեկն է։

Ո՞րն է Casillero del Diablo գինիների բարձր որակի և ցածր գնի գաղտնիքը: Նախ՝ գինեգործության հարուստ փորձը. ընկերությունը գոյություն ունի 1883 թվականից: Երկրորդ՝ Չիլիի հողը լավագույնն է խաղողի արտադրության համար: Առաջին խաղողի այգիները Չիլ իում հայտնվել են 16-րդ դարի կեսերին՝ առաջին նվաճողների հետ միասին։ Բնական բարենպաստ պայմանները, հողն ու կլիման նպաստել են, որ գինեգործությունը, որպես արդյունաբերություն, ակտիվորեն զարգանա։ Չիլիացի գինեգործներն այնքան բարձրորակ գինիներ են արտադրել, որ իսպանական թագը որոշել է արգելք դնել Չիլիից գինու արտահանման վրա, որպեսզի նրանք չմրցակցեն մետրոպոլիայի գինիների հետ։ Այդ արգելքը հանվել է միայն այն օրը, երբ Չիլին անկախություն է ձեռք բերել՝ 1810 թվականի սեպտեմբերի 18-ին: Դրանից հետո ամբողջ 19րդ դարի ընթացքում գինու արդյունաբերությունը արագ զարգացում է ապրել:

Concha Y Toro ընկերության ստեղծման համար պատասխանատու է Չիլիի ֆինանսների նախարար Մելչոր դե Կոնչա ի Տորոն։ Նա շատ բան է արել իր երկրում գինեգործության զարգացման համար։ Չիլիի հողը կարող է պարծենալ իր հսկայական բազմազանությամբ, որը տաք և մեղմ կլիմայի հետ միասին զարմանալի արդյունք է տալիս։ Հատկանշական է նաև այն, որ տեղի գրեթե բոլոր խաղողի այգիները գալիս են Ֆրանսիայից բերված նախաֆիլոքսերիայի ժամանակաշրջանի տնկիներից։ 19-րդ դարում Հին աշխարհում մոլեգնում էր ֆիլոքսերիայի համաճարակը, որը ոչնչացնում էր խաղողի այգիները։

Այս հարձակումը Չիլի չի հասել, և ներկայում էլ Չիլիում աճում են ֆիլոքսերայի դեմ չպատվաստված խաղողի որթեր։ Casillero del Diablo մակնշմամբ գինիները մեկ անգամ չէ, որ արժանացել են միջազգային մրցանակների, և դա՝ չնայած այն հանգամանքին, որ Concha Y Toro ընկերությունն ունի նաև պրեմիում ապրանքանիշեր, ինչպիսին է Don Melchor գինին:
