Մահացել է Հայաստանի նկարիչների միության անդամ, նկարիչ, խեցեգործ Վան Սողոմոնյանը:
Նկարիչների միությունից հայտնում են, որ արվեստագետի հոգեհանգստի արարողությունը տեղի կունենա այսօր ժամը` 18:00-20:00 Կոնդի Սուրբ Հովհաննես եկեղեցում: Հուղարկավորությունը հաջորդ օրը՝ հունիսի 7-ին, ժամը՝ 13:00 նույն վայրից:
Վան Սողոմոնյանը ծնվել է 1937 թվականին Թբիլիսիում։ 1956-1958 թվականներին սովորել է Թբիլիսիի գեղարվեստի դպրոցում։ 1963-1968 թվականներին` Երևանի գեղարվեստա-թատերական ինստիտուտում։
1991 թվականից` «Կերամոս» խեցեգործության միջազգային ակադեմիայի անդամ (Լեհաստան) է,
2001 թվականից՝ Գերմանիայի նկարիչների պրոֆեսիոնալ միության անդամ։
Վան Սողոմոնյանի աշխատանքները գտնվում են Ժամանակակից արվեստի թանգարանում (Երևան), Սարդարապատի ազգագրական թանգարանում, ՀՀ մշակույթի նախարարության ֆոնդերում, Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահում (Երևան), Սերգեյ Փարաջանովի տուն-թանգարան, Կիրառական արվեստի թանգարանում (Մոսկվա), Խեցեգործության միջազգային թանգարանում (Ֆաենցա, Իտալիա), Խեցեգործության միջազգային թանգարանում (Քեշքեմեթ, Հունգարիա), Խեցեգործության թանգարան Ռյոմհիլդ, Գերմանիա, Արվեստի թանգարան, Մորիզբուրգ, Հալե-ան-դեր-Զաալե, Ֆռեխեն, Գերմանիա, և այլուր։
1973 թվականից մասնակցել է բազմաթիվ խմբային ցուցահանդեսների (Ճապոնիա, Լեհաստան, Հունգարիա, Գերմանիա, Ֆրանսիա, Իտալիա, Կանադա, Ռուսաստան, ԱՄՆ, Շվեյցարիա), սիմպոզիումների (Գերմանիա, Հունգարիա, Լեհաստան), ունեցել է անհատական ցուցահանդեսներ։
«Կարևոր է ոչ միայն քո աշխարհընկալումը, այլ նաև այն րոպեական տրամադրությունը, որ կա քո հոգում։ Եվ պետք է հիշել, որ ամենուր կա պայմանականություն և սեփական անհամապատասխանությունն աշխարհի հետ։ Եվ այն, ինչ ես ստեղծում եմ, միաժամանակ այն ամբողջական ֆորման է, որով ես ընկալում եմ տիեզերքը և այն փոքր աշխարհը, որ կա իմ ներսում»,- ասել է Վան Սողոմոնյանը։
