СМИ: пропавший самолет вице-президента Малави пока не нашли

Поисково-спасательная операция пока не привела к обнаружению пропавшего 10 июня с радаров самолета, на борту которого находился вице-президент Малави Саулос Чилима. Об этом сообщил портал Malawi 24.
По указанию президента Лазаруса Чакверы поиски не прекращались и в темное время суток. Военнослужащие Сил обороны Малави всю ночь вели работы в густом лесном массиве Чикангава на севере страны, где, по данным очевидцев, мог потерпеть крушение самолет, но безрезультатно.
На борту самолета ВВС Малави, помимо вице-президента, находились еще девять человек, включая бывшую первую леди страны Шанил Мулузи. Супруги Чилимы, как ранее сообщалось, там не было.
Самолет, вылетевший из столицы страны, Лилонгве, должен был приземлиться в городе Мзузу на севере страны, но не смог совершить посадку из-за плохой погоды и повернул обратно. В Мзузу вице-президент должен был представлять правительство на похоронах бывшего генерального прокурора Ральфа Касамбары.
