Лидер евроскептической партии Reform UK Найджел Фарадд заявил, что «мы спровоцировали эту войну» в интервью BBC, проведя параллель между расширением НАТО и Европейского союза в последние десятилетия и конфликтом в Восточной Европе.
В пятницу, во время выступления в программе Panorama Interviews на канале BBC One, Фарадж ответил на вопросы о своем мнении о президенте России Владимире Путине.
«Я сказал, что он мне не нравится как человек, но я восхищаюсь им как политическим оператором, потому что он сумел взять под контроль управление Россией.
С 1999 года Путин постоянно занимает пост то президента, то премьер-министра России, а выборы были названы «фальсифицированными»», - сказал британский политик.
После интервью на Фараджа обрушились гнев и критика его коллег.
Они заявили, что Найджел Фарадж не понимает «реального мира» политики, и его сравнили с «занудой из паба» за его заявления о том, что Запад спровоцировал вторжение Владимира Путина на Украину.
