WhatsApp прекратит поддержку более чем 40 смартфонов

Популярный мессенджер WhatsApp в 2024 году перестанет выпускать обновления для 47 старых моделей смартфонов, включая смартфоны таких компаний, как Samsung, Motorola, Huawei, Sony, LG и Apple. Эти устройства работают под управлением более старых версий операционных систем Google и Apple Android 5.0 и iOS 12, сообщает Gizchina.

В список затронутых устройств вошли модели, которые существуют уже более 7 лет, но некоторые пользователи до сих пор ими пользуются. Однако компания Meta (владеющая WhatsApp) решила прекратить их поддержку, чтобы сосредоточиться на новых устройствах и обновленном программном обеспечении.

Последнее обновление WhatsApp для этих устройств было выпущено 1 февраля 2020 года. Их владельцы смогут продолжать использовать приложение WhatsApp, но не будут получать обновления и, следовательно, новые функции.
