The Jerusalem Post պարբերականը հրապարակել է «Իսրայելն այժմ առավել քան երբևէ պետք է ճանաչի Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը» վերտառությամբ հոդվածը, որում պարբերականի գլխավոր փոխխմբագիր Թամար Ուրիել Բերին անդրադառնում է ստեղծված աշխարհաքաղաքական համատեքստում հայ-իսրայելական հարաբերություններին:
Հեղինակը հիշեցնում է, որ ՀՀ-ն ճանաչել է Պաղեստինի անկախությունը՝ ընդգծելով, որ Իսրայելի և Հայաստանի հարաբերությունները երկար ժամանակ է՝ լարված են, և դա պայմանավորված է մի քանի գործոնով.«Առաջինը զինված հակամարտության պայմաններում Իսրայելի աջակցությունն է Ադրբեջանին։ Ստոկհոլմի Խաղաղության միջազգային հետազոտությունների ինստիտուտի 2021 թվականին հրապարակված զեկույցի համաձայն՝ զեկույցի հրապարակմանը նախորդող հինգ տարիներին Իսրայելը եղել է Ադրբեջանի զենքի ներմուծման 69%-ի աղբյուրը։
«Ադրբեջանը միլիարդավոր դոլարների իսրայելական զենք է գնում, համագործակցություն կա ռազմական պաշտպանության և հետախուզության ոլորտում։ Ադրբեջանական Silk Way Airlines ավիաընկերությունը հաճախակի թռիչքներ է կատարում Իսրայել՝ զենք ներկրելու նպատակով: Մինչ այս վերջին էսկալացիան, ինքնաթիռը անմիջապես Իսրայելից ուղղություն էր վերցրել դեպի Գյանջա քաղաք, որը գտնվում է Լեռնային Ղարաբաղից հյուսիս։ Ցանկացած երկիր կարող է զենք վաճառել և գնել։ Խնդիրն այն է, որ այդ զենքերը հայտնվում են մեր սահմաններում ու կրակում խաղաղ բնակչության վրա», - անցած տարվա սեպտեմբերին The Jerusalem Post-ին ասել էր Իսրայելում Հայաստանի դեսպան Արման Հակոբյանը։
Հաջորդ կետը, ըստ աղբյուրի, այն է, որ Իսրայելը պաշտոնապես չի ճանաչել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը։
«1982 թվականի գարնանը Երուսաղեմում և Թել Ավիվում Հոլոքոստի և Ցեղասպանության վերաբերյալ առաջին միջազգային համաժողովից առաջ Թուրքիան պահանջել էր չեղարկել Հայոց ցեղասպանությանը նվիրված վեց նիստերը և բացառել հայախոս մասնակիցներին։ Նրանք սպառնացել էին դադարեցնել Իրանից և Սիրիայից փախուստի դիմող հրեաների պաշտպանությունը, եթե Իսրայելի կառավարությունը համաձայնի իրենց պահանջին:
2023 թվականի դրությամբ աշխարհի շուրջ 34 երկիր ճանաչել է Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը։ Սակայն Իսրայելը, որտեղ ապրում են ցեղասպանություն, ջարդեր և խոշտանգումներ վերապրած մարդիկ, դեռ դա չի արել: Լայնորեն ընդունված է, որ Ադոլֆ Հիտլերը կարծում էր, որ կարող է իր վայրագությունները կատարել առանց հետևանքների, քանի որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության մեղավորները հիմնականում խուսափել են պատժից:
Իսրայելը դանդաղ, բայց վստահաբար դառնում է փոքրամասնություն արևմտյան երկրների շարքում: Այս շաբաթ, հետևելով Պաղեստինի պետականության ճանաչման խնդրին մեր լուսաբանմանը, մի ընթերցող կապ հաստատեց մեզ հետ և մատնանշեց.«Անբարեխիղճ է, որ Իսրայելը շարունակում է ժխտել Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը և օգտագործում է 1,5 միլիոն հայի մահը որպես դիվանագիտության և միջազգային հարաբերությունների քաղաքական մահակ»:
Նա, իհարկե, չի սխալվում: Ցեղասպանության ճանաչումը պարզ բան է բոլորի համար, ովքեր ծանոթ են «ցեղասպանություն» եզրույթի հիմնական սահմանմանը և Օսմանյան կայսրության ձեռքով զոհված միլիոնավոր մարդկանց մասին հստակ տվյալներին:
Եթե Իսրայելը ցանկանում է միջազգայնորեն ճանաչվել որպես ողջախոհության և օրինական բարոյականության ձայն, նա պետք է գործի բարոյապես: Մի կո՛ղմ դրեք ձեր էգոն, ճանաչե՛ք Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը», - եզրափակել է հեղինակը:
