Հուլիսի 1-ի գիշերը, ժամը 1.31-ին, ՆԳՆ ոստիկանության օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոն էր զանգել Խորենացու փողոցում գործող հոսթելի սեփականատերը և հայտնել, որ իրենց հաճախորդին անհայտ ավտոմեքենայի ուղևորները ծեծի են ենթարկել, գողացել բջջային հեռախոսը և գումարը:
Ոստիկանության Կենտրոնական բաժնից օպերատիվ խումբ է մեկնել: Նշված հյուրատանն իջևանած 45-ամյա օտարերկրացին հայտնել է, որ կեսգիշերն անց անծանոթ հեռախոսահամարից զանգել և խնդրել են, որ իր երկու ծանոթներին հոսթելում գիշերակաց տրամադրի: Ինքը դիմավորելու նպատակով դուրս գալով հոսթելից՝ հանդիպել է երկու անծանոթի, որոնք երկաթյա ձողերով հարվածներ են հասցրել՝ պատճառելով մարմնական վնասվածք, ապա գրպանից հափշտակել են բջջային հեռախոսը, անձնագիրը և 300 դոլար:
Մինչ ոստիկանները հանցագործությունը բացահայտելու միջոցառումներ էին ձեռնարկում, ժամը 3.25-ին 1-ին համալսարանական հիվանդանոցից հայտնել են, որ 45-ամյա տղամարդուն «գագաթային շրջանի պատռված վերք» ախտորոշմամբ ընդունել են բուժօգնության:
Ոստիկանության Կենտրոնական բաժնի քրեական հետախույզները ձեռնարկած օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների շնորհիվ պարզել են, որ 45-ամյա տղամարդուն զանգահարել է Արցախի փողոցի հոսթելում բնակվող 26-ամյա մեկ այլ օտարերկրացի, իսկ մարմնական վնասվածք պատճառել և հեռախոսն ու փողը հափշտակել են նրա համերկրացի 25 և 28 տարեկան երկու երիտասարդ:
Հետագա միջոցառումներով 26-ամյա երիտասարդը ժամը 6-ին Խորենացու փողոցում հայտնաբերվել, ավազակությանն օժանդակելու հիմնավոր կասկածով ձերբակալվել և տեղափոխվել է ոստիկանության Կենտրոնական բաժին: Ժամը 7.10-ին «Զվարթնոց» օդանավակայանի հարակից տարածքում հայտնաբերվել, ավազակություն կատարելու կասկածանքով ձերբակալվել, Կենտրոնականի բաժին են տեղափոխվել նաև 25 և 28 տարեկան երկու երիտասարդները: Նրանք և կազմված փաստաթղթերը ներկայացվել են նախաքննական մարմին: Հանգամանքները պարզվում են:
