«Հայկական ժամանակ» թերթը գրում է. «Հայաստանի ազգային պատկերասրահի տնօրեն Արման Ծատուրյանն օրերս հույս է հայտնել, որ այս տարի պաշտոնապես կհայտարարվի Պատկերասրահին նոր շենք տրամադրելու մասին: Ասել է թե՝ մշակութային այս կետրոնը Հանրապետության հրապարակից կտեղափոխվի:

Նախորդ տարիներին էլ պարբերաբար շրջանառության մեջ էր դրվում պնդումը, թե երկրի թիվ մեկ հրապարակն այնպիսին չէ, ինչպիսին նախագծել էր Ալեքսանդր Թամանյանը եւ հարկավոր է այն համապատասխանեցնել թամանյանական գաղափարին:

Իսկ ի՞նչ կապ ունեն Պատկերասրահի «ճամփորդական» տրամադրությունները քաղաքաշինության նախարար Նարեկ Սարգսյանի՝ Հանրապետության հրապարակը վերակառուցելու «հնամենի» մտադրության հետ:

Մեր թղթակցին երեկ հաջողվել է պարզել, որ իշխանության ամենավերին օղակներից կա հանձնարարական՝ Երեւանի կենտրոնում փնտրել հարմար տարածք, որտեղ հնարավոր կլինի կառուցել Ազգային պատկերասրահի նոր շենք:

Մասնագետների հետ ոչ պաշտոնական զրույցներում նաեւ հայտնի է դարձել, որ Նարեկ Սարգսյանի ծրագրերի մեջ է մտնում Պատկերասրահի ներկայիս շենքի հարկայնությունը նվազեցնելը՝ պահպանելով միայն սյունաշար ծավալը:

Երեւանի գլխավոր ճարտարապետ Տիգրան Բարսեղյանը երեկ վստահեցրել է, որ մշակութային կենտրոնի վերաբերյալ որեւէ պաշտոնական գրություն քաղաքապետարան չի ստացվել: Նա, սակայն, շեշտել է «այսօր» բառը»:
