Այսօր՝ մահացու հրազենային վիրավորումով պայմանագրային զինծառայողի մասին տեղեկությունների հրապարակումից անմիջապես հետո, Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի աշխատակազմում նախաձեռնվել է քննարկման ընթացակարգ։
Դեպքի հետ կապված՝ պարզաբանումներ ստանալու նպատակով, գրություններ են ուղարկվել իրավասու պետական մարմիններին:
Պաշտպանն ընդգծում է, որ Զինված ուժերում նման դեպքերի առկայությունն անթույլատրելի է և խիստ մտահոգիչ։ Զինված ուժերում կյանքի իրավունքի պաշտպանության նպատակով պետությունը պարտավոր է ձեռնարկել զինծառայողների կյանքի իրավունքի պաշտպանությանն ուղղված անհրաժեշտ և բավարար քայլեր, իսկ զինծառայողների մահվան պարագայում՝ իրականացնել դրանց հանգեցրած հանգամանքները պարզելու նպատակով արդյունավետ քննություն։
Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը ևս մեկ անգամ ընդգծում է, որ խնդրի լուծման համար անհրաժեշտ է ցուցաբերել համակարգային մոտեցում՝ այդ առումով կարևորելով բանակում մահվան և ինքնավնասման դեպքերը կանխարգելելու միասնական հայեցակարգի (ծրագիր, քայլերի հերթականություն և այլն) մշակման և իրացման անհրաժեշտությունը:
Զինված ուժերում մարդու իրավունքներին առնչվող ցանկացած հարց գտնվում է Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանի անմիջական ուշադրության ներքո։ Պաշտպանը հետևողական է ոլորտում առկա խնդիրների հասցեավորմանն ու դրանց լուծմանն ուղղված քայլերի իրականացմանը։ 2023 թվականի տարեկան հաղորդմամբ ևս Մարդու իրավունքների պաշտպանը մանրամասն անդրադարձել է զինծառայողների իրավունքների պաշտպանության ոլորտում առկա խնդիրներին և ներկայացրել դրանց լուծմանն ուղղված մի շարք առաջարկներ։
