Մեծ Բրիտանիայի թագավոր Չառլզ Երրորդն ընդունել է վարչապետ Ռիշի Սունակի հրաժարականը: Այս մասին գրում է guardian.com-ը:
Նշվում է, որ Բուքինգհեմյան պալատը համապատասխան հայտարարություն է տարածել.«Հարգարժան Ռիշի Սունակն այսօր առավոտյան հանդիպել է թագավորին և ներկայացրել իր հրաժարականը վարչապետի պաշտոնից, ինչը Նորին մեծությունն ընդունել է»:
Այժմ Բուքինգհեմյան պալատ է այցելելու խորհրդարանական ընտրություններում հաղթած Լեյբորիստական կուսակցության ղեկավար սըր Քիր Սթարմերը, որը լինելու է հաջորդ վարչապետը:
Սթարմերի գլխավորած Լեյբորիստական կուսակցությունն արտահերթ խորհրդարանական ընտրությունների արդյունքներով հավաքել է Համայնքների պալատի ձայների մեծամասնությունը, ինչը նշանակում է երկրում պահպանողականների կառավարման 14-ամյա ավարտը:
Ձայների հաշվարկը դեռ չի ավարտվել բոլոր ընտրատարածքներում, սակայն լեյբորիստներն արդեն պաշտոնապես հաղթել են դրանցից 381-ում՝ մեծամասնություն ապահովելով 650 տեղանոց պալատում:
Հինգշաբթի երեկոյան քվեարկության ավարտից անմիջապես հետո հրապարակված էքզիթ-փոլի կանխատեսման համաձայն՝ լեյբորիստները կունենան 410 տեղ:
Երրորդ տեղում լիբերալ-դեմոկրատներն են՝ 61 մանդատ, չորրորդը՝ Նայջել Ֆարաջի աջ պոպուլիստական Reform UK («Միացյալ Թագավորության բարեփոխում») կուսակցությունն է՝ 13 մանդատով։
Արդյունքների հրապարակումից հետո կարճ ելույթում Սթարմերը, մասնավորապես, ասել է. «Փոփոխությունները սկսվում են հենց այստեղից, քանի որ սա ձեր ժողովրդավարությունն է, ձեր համայնքը, ձեր ապագան: Դուք քվեարկել եք։ Հիմա ժամանակն է, որ մենք կատարենք մեր խոստումները»։
Գործող վարչապետ Ռիշի Սունակը նույնպես կարողացել է վերընտրվել իր ընտրատարածքում՝ Ռիչմոնդ և Նորթալերտոնում: Միաժամանակ նա խոստովանել է, որ պահպանողականները պարտվել են և ասել, որ շնորհավորել է Սթարմերին հաղթանակի կապակցությամբ։
«Այսօր իշխանության փոխանցումը ձեռքից ձեռք տեղի կունենա խաղաղ և կանոնավոր, բոլոր կողմերի բարի կամքով։ Սա պետք է բոլորիս վստահություն տա մեր երկրի կայունության և ապագայի նկատմամբ։ Բրիտանացիներն այսօր սթափեցնող դատավճիռ են կայացրել, սովորելու շատ բան կա... և ես ստանձնում եմ ձախողման պատասխանատվությունը»,- ասել է Սունակը:
