Այո′, որքան ավելի մեծ է երջակությունը այնքան ավելի քիչ է դա նկատելի: Հաճախ սակայն այն դառնում է սովորական, դառնում առօրեական, նույնիսկ ձանձրալի ու տաղտկալի: Այն դառնում է սովորական մի բան, դառնում օդի նման մի բան, որը շնչում ես, որից շատ կա քո շուրջը, որը սակայն թանկ է դառնում միայն այն ժամանակ, երբ այլևս չի բավարարում, և դու սկսում ես շնչահեղձ լինել նրա բացակայությունից…Իմ կարծիքով այդպես էլ երջանկությունն է, երջանկության զգացումը…
Բայց այդ երջանկության և խորը, լուրջ, իրական զգացումների <<գերեզմանափորը>> հիասթափությունն է ու անտարբերությունը…Հաճախ գուցե նաև խաբված կամ օգտագործված լինելու զգացումը, երբ կարոտին պատասխան ես ստանում անտարբերությամբ ու սառնությամբ, երբ նվիրումի և հոգատարության դիմաց ստանում ես ցավ ու խաբկանք: Անտարբերությունն աստիճանաբար պատճառ է դառնում հիասթափության, իսկ հիասթափվելով դու աստիճանաբար դառնում ես անտարբեր:
Հին ժամանակներում, այն մարդուն, ով կորցնում էր սիրելու ունակությունը, ասում էին. <<Նա կորցրել է իր հոգին>>:
Ի վերջո հիասթափվել, այսինքն` հուսախաբվել, հուսախաբ լինել, անբավականություն, դառնություն զգալ…Այսինքն հիվանդանում ես և հոգիդ`դատարկվում, չորանում անապատի է նմանվում…Հիասթափություն է, երբ մարդկանց ավելի լավ ես պատկերացնում քան նրանք իրականում կան, երբ շատ հարազատ մարդիկ հեռանում են քեզանից…Հեռանում հանգիստ ու անտարբեր…
Հիասթափվում ես ու անցնում են խելահեղ պատրանքներդ, անցնում է գինովությունդ, և հետո լրջանում ես, սթափվում…Լրջանում` արթնանում գլխացավով, իսկ ավելի ճիշտ հոգուդ ցավով, մեծ ու անդառնալի…Իսկ հաճախ նաև հիասթափությունը, անտարբերությունը վերափոխվում է նաև արհամարհանքի: Իսկ արհամարհող մարդը` ինչպես ասում են, ոչ կարող է և ոչ էլ կկարողանա հանգստություն գտնել այնքան ժամանակ, որքան շարունակում է ապրել այդ արհամարհանքի զգացումը: Արհամարհանքը հետապնդում է նրան, քանի որ այն արդեն մտել է նրա արյան, նրա հոգու, ուղեղի ու սրտի մեջ և նրա հետ է ամենուրեք, ինչպես սիրո զգացումը նախկինում…
Իսկ դա վերջն է, քանի որ այլևս ոչինչ փոխել չի կարելի…Իսկ դա անտանելի է ու ցավալի…Ես չեմ ուզում կորցնել հոգիս…Հաստատ…
