Վաշինգտոնում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթնաժողովի բացման ժամանակ ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենը հայտարարել է Ուկրաինային լրացուցիչ Patriot համակարգի փոխանցման մասին, ինչպես նաև հայտարարել երկրի հակաօդային պաշտպանությունն ուժեղացնելու այլ մատակարարումների մասին, հայտնում է «Ամերիկայի ձայնը»։
Բայդենը, մասնավորապես, ասել է, որ կտրամադրվեն Patriot հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգեր՝ մեկը ԱՄՆ-ից, երկուսը՝ Գերմանիայից և Ռումինիայից, ևս մեկը կհավաքի Նիդեռլանդները՝ այլ գործընկերների հետ միասին։ Իր հերթին Իտալիան Ուկրաինային կփոխանցի SAMP-T համակարգը։
«Այս հինգ ռազմավարական հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգերը կօգնեն պաշտպանել ուկրաինական քաղաքները, քաղաքացիական բնակչությանն ու զինվորականներին, և մենք սերտորեն համագործակցում ենք Ուկրաինայի կառավարության հետ՝ ապահովելու համար, որ այդ համակարգերը կարող են արագ տեղակայվել», - ասել է ԱՄՆ նախագահը Վաշինգտոնում ՆԱՏՕ-ի գագաթնաժողովի բացման ժամանակ։
Նա նաև նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն իր գործընկերների հետ միասին աշխատում է Ուկրաինային այս տարի լրացուցիչ ռազմավարական հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգեր տրամադրելու ուղղությամբ։ Մասնավորապես, առաջիկա ամիսներին Ուկրաինան պետք է ստանա NASAMS, HAWK, IRIS-T և Gepard հակաօդային պաշտպանության համակարգեր։
Բացի այդ, Բայդենը նշել է, որ հաջորդ տարվա ընթացքում Միացյալ Նահանգները Ուկրաինա կուղղի որսալիչները, որոնք նախատեսվում էր մատակարարել այլ երկրներ։
Նա նշել է, որ ԱՄՆ-ն աջակցում է Ուկրաինային ՆԱՏՕ-ի անդամների և ավելի քան 50 երկրների կոալիցիայի հետ գործընկերությամբ։
«Մեր ուղերձը Մոսկվային և աշխարհին պարզ է՝ մեր աջակցությունն Ուկրաինային ուժեղ է և անսասան», - ասել է Բայդենը։
Նա նաև նշել է, որ Ռուսաստանը պարտվում է այս պատերազմում, քանի որ Ռուսաստանի Դաշնությունը կորցնում է մարդկանց ճակատում, ռուսները լքում են երկիրը, իսկ Ուկրաինան մնում է «ազատ և անկախ»:
«Ուկրաինան կարող է և պետք է կանգնեցնի Պուտինին»,- իր ելույթում ասել է Ջոզեֆ Բայդենը։
