Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին նշում է Ս. Թադեոս առաքյալի և Ս. Սանդուխտ կույսի հիշատակության օրը

Հայ Առաքելական եկեղեցին այսօր նշում է Ս. Թադեոս առաքյալի և Ս. Սանդուխտ կույսի հիշատակության օրը: Այս մասին գրում է Qahana.am-ը։
Ս. Թադեոս առաքյալը և Ս. Սանդուխտ կույսը Հայ Եկեղեցու ամենանշանավոր տոնելի սրբերից են, քանի որ նրանց անվան հետ է առնչվում հայոց լուսավորության պատմությունը:
Քրիստոսի Համբարձումից հետո, համաձայն Տիրոջ պատգամի՝ «Գնացե՜ք, ուրեմն աշակերտ դարձրեք բոլոր ազգերին, նրանց մկրտեցեք Հոր և Որդու և Սուրբ Հոգու անունով» (Մատթ. 28:19), Թադեոսը նախ գալիս է Եդեսիա, ավետարանում կենաց խոսքը, ի թիվս բազում հրաշքների բժշկում նաև Աբգար թագավորին, ապա՝ իրեն փոխարինող նշանակելով Եդեսիայում, գնում է Հայոց Սանատրուկ արքայի տիրույթները: Այստեղ զանազան վայրեր քարոզելուց հետո բազմաթիվ հեթանոսների է քրիստոնեական հավատի բերում և հիմնադրում Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցին:
Գալով Արտազ գավառ, առաքյալը մտնում է հայոց արքունիք և դարձի բերում արքայադուստր Սանդուխտ կույսին: Իրազեկ դառնալով այս ամենին, Սանատրուկ հայոց արքան սկզբում հորդորում է դստերը ետ դառնալ նախկին հավատին, սակայն՝ ապարդյուն: Զայրացած արքան թե՜ Թադեոս առաքյալին, թե՜ Սանդուխտ կույսին նետում է բանտ և դաժան տանջանքների ենթարկում: Արքունի իշխանազուն կառավարչի միջոցով արքայադստերը տարհամոզելու վերջին փորձը ևս ապարդյուն է անցնում: Քրիստոնյա է դառնում նաև կառավարիչը: Ի վերջո, արքայի հրամանով Ս. Թադեոս առաքյալը և Ս. Սանդուխտ կույսը նահատակվում են արքայական ամառանոց Շավարշավան գյուղաքաղաքում:
