ՄՕԿ նախագահ Թոմաս Բախին և միջազգային օլիմպիական շարժման գործընկերներին
Փարիզ – 2024-ի օլիմպիական խաղերն անցկացվում են աշխարհի համար անհանգիստ և լարված ժամանակաշրջանում, պատերազմական բախումների և թափվող արյան մի ծանր փուլում։ Մենք՝ միջազգային օլիմպիական շարժման ներկայացուցիչներս, մարզական պարտականություններից բացի, ունենք կարևորագույն առաքելություն՝ նպաստել աշխարհում լարվածության թուլացմանը, խաղաղության հաստատմանը։ Մեր այս պարտականության գիտակցումն ամեն անգամ օգնում է բազմաթիվ լարված կետերում առնվազն ժամանակավոր զինադադարների հաստատմանը, հիմք է դնում երկարատև խաղաղության գործընթացների և փրկում հազարավոր կյանքեր։
Իմ երկիրը՝ Հայաստանը, վերջին տարիներին անցավ արյունալի և անարդար, ծանր պատերազմների միջով։ Այսօր, պատերազմական գործողությունների դադարի և բանակցությունների շրջանում, Հայաստանի Հանրապետության բազմաթիվ քաղաքացիներ, պետական և հանրային գործիչներ դեռևս շարունակում են պահվել Ադրբեջանում գերության մեջ՝ փաստացի լինելով կենդանի պատանդներ։
Որպես Հայաստանի ազգային օլիմպիական կոմիտեի նախագահ՝ ես իմ կոչն ու հորդորն եմ ուղղում իմ միջազգային գործընկերներին և Միջազգային օլիմպիական շարժման բոլոր ջատագովներին։ Ես կոչ եմ անում՝ գործադրել Ձեր խաղաղ դիվանագիտական խողովակները և Ձեր հեղինակությունը՝ Փարիզի Օլիմպիական խաղերի շրջանում, որպես երկարատև և աներկբա խաղաղության հաստատման ժեստ՝ Բաքվի բանտերից ազատ արձակելու կամայականորեն պահվող ՀՀ քաղաքացիներին և այդպիսով խորացնելու վստահությունը՝ մեր տարածաշրջանում խաղաղության հեռանկարի հանդեպ։
Օլիմպիական շարժումը խաղաղության և մարդասիրության վեհ գաղափարների մարմնավորումն է սպորտի միջոցով։ Սա արդարության և համակեցության համաշխարհային շարժում է, և մենք այս քայլով կարող ենք մեր շարժման ընդհանուր հաղթանակը գումարել նախորդ մի քանի տասնյակ օլիմպիական խաղերի ընթացքում փրկած կյանքերի և ճակատագրերի թանկ գանձանակին։
