Блинкен:. США не причастны к убийству лидера ХАМАС в Иране

Государственный секретарь США Энтони Блинкен заявил в среду, что Соединенные Штаты не причастны к убийству лидера ХАМАС Исмаила Хании в Тегеране и не знали о нем. Об этом Блинкен сказал в интервью Channel News Asia.
Госсекретарь США разговаривал во время своего двухдневного официального визита в Сингапур, через несколько часов после того, как было сообщено, что Хания был убит в своей резиденции в столице Ирана Тегеране. Он был ключевой фигурой на переговорах о прекращении огня в секторе Газа.
«Это то, о чем мы не знали и к чему не были причастны. Очень трудно спекулировать», – сказал Блинкен.
Он подчеркнул важность прекращения огня для завершения девятимесячной войны на Ближнем Востоке.
«Мы будем продолжать добиваться этого столько, сколько нужно», – добавил Блинкен.
Он сказал, что необходимость прекращения огня остается лучшим способом снять напряженность в регионе.
Одного из лидеров палестинской группировки ХАМАС Исмаила Ханию убили 31 июля утром в столице Ирана. 62-летний Хания был многолетним политическим лидером ХАМАС.
