Том Круз сыграет главную роль в церемонии закрытия Олимпийских игр 2024 года в Париже 11 августа. Сообщается, что он может прыгнуть с парашютом к Hollywood Sign для передачи олимпискйого флага Лос-Анджелесу для Олимпиады 2028 года. По данным TMZ, трюк был снят в марте.
Продюсерская компания Fulwell 73 стоит за шоу Лос-Анджелеса, который будет сочетать предварительно записанные и живые элементы.
По данным Hollywood Reporter, первоначальный план включал в себя большую вечеринку на пляже Will Rogers State Beach, где должна была состояться передача олимпийского флага. Но ее отменили из-за опасений полиции Лос-Анджелеса по поводу длительного закрытия шоссе Pacific Coast Highway и проблем с получением необходимого разрешения от California Coastal Commission.
Круз посетил игры в Париже, в том числе на отборочных соревнованиях по женской спортивной гимнастике, а также на соревнованиях по плаванию. «Это потрясающе», — сказал он Reuters. «Великолепные истории, великолепные спортсмены. Невероятно, что им предстоит сделать».
