Օգոստոսի 5-ին, ժամը 12.52-ին, «Դիլիջան» բժշկական կենտրոնից ոստիկանության Տավուշի մարզի օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոն հաղորդում է ստացվել, որ կրծքավանդակի ծակած վերքով, անգիտակից վիճակում անհայտ անձի կողմից քաղաքացի է բուժօգնության տեղափոխվել:

Հիվանդանոց օպերատիվ-քննչական խումբ է մեկնել: Պարզվել է, որ մարմնական վնասվածք ստացած անձը Դիլիջան քաղաքի բնակիչ 51-ամյա Արթուր Ուլիխանյանն է, որը հիվանդանոցում, գիտակցության չգալով, մահացել է: Պարզվել է նաև, որ նրան իր «Մերսեդեսով» հիվանդանոց է տեղափոխել Դիլիջանի բնակիչ 41-ամյա Արսեն Ս.-ն:
Ոստիկանության Տավուշի մարզային վարչության և Դիլիջանի բաժնի ծառայողների ձեռնարկած միջոցառումների շնորհիվ պարզվել է դեպքը տեղի է ունեցել մարզադպրոցի հարակից տարածքում, որտեղ տաղավարի սեղանին հայտնաբերվել են օղիով լցված բաժակներ, արնանման հետքեր, իսկ գետնին՝ դանակ:

Ձեռնարկված օպերատիվ-հետախուզական միջոցառումների շնորհիվ ժամը 12.50-ին Արսեն Ս.-ն Կալինինի փողոցում հայտնաբերվել, հանցագործությունը կատարած լինելու կասկածանքով ձերբակալվել և ներկայացվել է Դիլիջանի քննչական բաժին: Նախաձեռնված քրեական վարույթի շրջանակում նա ձերբակալվել և տեղափոխվել է Դիլիջանի բաժնի ձերբակալվածների պահման վայր:

Օգոստոսի 6-ին, իրացնելով ոստիկանության Դիլիջանի բաժնում ստացված օպերատիվ տեղեկությունները, ՆԳՆ ոստիկանության ՔՈԳՎ, Տավուշի մարզային վարչության ու ենթակա ստորաբաժանումների, Քանաքեռ-Զեյթունի բաժնի, Տավուշի մարզային քննչական վարչության և Դիլիջանի քննչական բաժնի ծառայողների համատեղ միջոցառումների շնորհիվ պարզվել է, որ վերոհիշյալ տաղավարում մի խումբ անձանց միջև տեղի ունեցած վիճաբանության ժամանակ Երևանի բնակիչ 38-ամյա Վահագ Հ.-ն դանակով հարվածել է դիլիջանցի 46-ամյա Հարություն Ղ.-ին, ինչից հետո վերջինս նույն դանակով հարվածել է Արթուր Ուլիխանյանին և Վահագ Հ.-ին: Արթուր Ուլիխանյանին պատճառված վնասվածքը կյանքի հետ անհամատեղելի էր:

Օգոստոսի 5-ին, ժամը 19.12-ին, ոստիկանության Տավուշի մարզի օպերատիվ կառավարման կենտրոն հաղորդում է ստացվել «Էրեբունի» բժշկական կենտրոնից. շտապօգնության խումբը կրծքավանդակի ծակած-կտրած վերքով բուժօգնության էր տեղափոխել Դիլիջանի բնակիչ Հարություն Ղ.-ին, ով վնասվածքը ստացել էր նույն միջադեպի ընթացքում:

Օպերատիվ-հետախուզական հետագա միջոցառումների շնորհիվ օգոստոսի 6-ի գիշերվա ժամը 1-ին Երևան քաղաքի իր բնակության վայրում հայտնաբերվել, ձերբակալվել և Դիլիջանի բաժին է տեղափոխվել Վահագ Հ.-ն: Բաժնում նա հայտնել է, որ միջադեպի ընթացքում վնասվածքներ է ստացել: Բաժին հրավիրված շտապօգնության խումբը զննությամբ նրա մարմնի տարբեր մասերում քերծված, ծակած-կտրած վերքեր է հայտնաբերել:
