Իրանական IRNA լրատվական գործակալության փոխանցմամբ՝ Թեհրանում Սաուդյան Արաբիայի դեսպանատան վրա հարձակման գործով անցնում է մոտ 100 մարդ, որոնք կալանավորվել են հունվարի 2-ի լույս 3-ի գիշերը Սաուդյան Արաբիայի դեսպանատան վրա իրականացված հարձակումից հետո։
Այդ մասին, կիրակի կազմակերպված մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ, հայտարարել է Իրանի գլխավոր դատախազ Մոհսենի Էջեին։ Ընդգծվում է, որ կասկածյալների մի մասը հրկիզումներ է իրականացրել դեսպանատան տարածքում, և վնաս է պատճառել շենքին։
Էջեին հայտարարել է, որ իրենք ունեն ականատեսների վկայություններ, որ հարձակվողների թվում եղել է սադրիչ, որը ցուցարարներին ու հարձակում գործածներին գցել է մոլորության մեջ՝ նրանց ցուցումներ տալով, թե ինչպես է պետք գործել։
Սադրիչին կալանավորել են Իրանի սահմաններից դուրս, նա հանդիսանում է Իրանի հյուսիսում գտնվող համալսարաններից մեկի նախկին ուսանող և ընդհատակյա խմբավորման անդամ։ Էջեին հայտնել է, որ ավելի վաղ սադրիչին հեռացրել են համալսարանից:
