Փարիզի 33-րդ Օլիմպիական խաղերի արծաթե մեդալակիր Արթուր Ալեքսանյանն առաջին մեկնաբանությունն է տվել եզրափակիչ գոտեմարտից հետո:

«Ես այստեղ ոսկե մեդալի համար էի եկել: Բայց իմ գոտեմարտի ժամանակ բոլորդ տեսաք, թե ինչ կատարվեց: Այդ դրվագում իրանցի ըմբիշը երկու ոտքով գտնվում էր գոտեմարտելու տարածքից դուրս: Եվ ես այդ պահը նկատեցի և ինքս ասացի, որ մարզիչները բողոքարկեն: Եթե երկու ոտքով դուրս ես գալիս, ուրեմն մեկ միավոր ինձ պետք է տային: Բայց այդ մեկ միավորի փոխարեն երկու միավոր տվեցին իրանցի ըմբիշին, ևս մեկն ավելացրին բողոքարկելու համար: Բոլորն են հարցնում, թե ինչո՞ւ հանեցի մեդալը: Սրա համար եմ հանել այն: Այդտեղ մեկ միավորը իմը պետք է լիներ, և հաշիվն էլ պետք է լիներ 2:1 հօգուտ ինձ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի թղթակցի հաղորդմամբ` լրագրողների հետ զրույցում ասել է Ալեքսանյանը:

Վերջինիս խոսքով` այժմ հիասթափությունը մեծ է մրցավարական անարդարությունից. «Ապագայի մասին դեռևս վերջնական չեմ որոշել: Եվ, իրոք, այս անարդարություններից շատ եմ հիասթափված: Դեռ մնալու եմ ըմբշամարտում: Հույս ունեմ, որ արդարությունը կվերականգնվի» – առանձնացրել է նա: Ըստ Ալեքսանյանի՝ մրցավարների հետ կապված խնդիրներ կային նաև Սլավիկ Գալստյանի գոտեմարտում, ինչը տպավորություն է ստեղծում, որ Հայաստանի հավաքականի դեմ ինչ-որ տեղ լարվածություն կա:

 

«Ինչ վերաբերում է գոտեմարտերին ներկա մեծաքանակ հայ երկրպագուներին, կարծես ես տանը գոտեմարտեի: Ուզում եմ շնորհակալություն հայտնել հայ համայնքին, բոլոր հայերին, ովքեր ներկա էին: Իրոք մեծ աջակցություն ենք զգացել: Ամբողջ թիմի անունից շատ մեծ շնորհակալություն եմ հայտնում բոլորին»,-ասել է ըմբիշը:
