Առողջապահության համաշխարհային կազմակերպության (ԱՀԿ) ղեկավար Թեդրոս Գեբրեյեսուսը կապիկների ծաղիկի համաճարակը հայտարարել է հանրային առողջապահության ոլորտում արտակարգ իրավիճակ։
Նախօրեին Աֆրիկյան հիվանդությունների վերահսկման և կանխարգելման կենտրոնները (CDC) արտակարգ դրություն էին հայտարարել առողջապահության ոլորտում՝ կապիկների ջրծաղիկի բռնկման պատճառով:

Նրա խոսքով՝ 2023 թվականին կապիկների ջրծաղիկի գրանցված դեպքերի թիվը զգալիորեն աճել է, իսկ այս տարի այն գերազանցել է նախորդ տարվա ցուցանիշը. գրանցվել է ավելի քան 14 հազար դեպք, որոնցից 524 — ը մահացու են:

«Կոնգոյի Դեմոկրատական Հանրապետության արևելյան մասում կապիկների ջրծաղիկի նոր բազմազանության հայտնաբերումն ու արագ տարածումը, հարևան երկրներում դրա հայտնաբերումը և Աֆրիկայում և նրա սահմաններից դուրս հետագա տարածման պոտենցիալ հնարավորությունը մեծ անհանգստություն են առաջացնում: Բացի Աֆրիկայի այլ մասերում ջրծաղիկի այլ տեսակների բռնկումներից ակնհայտ է, որ դրանց դադարեցման և կյանքեր փրկելու համար անհրաժեշտ են համակարգված միջազգային պատասխան միջոցներ», - ընդգծել Է ԱՀԿ ղեկավարը։

Նա նշել է, որ կազմակերպությունը մշակել է պատասխան գործողությունների տարածաշրջանային ծրագիր, որը պահանջում է նախնական 15 միլիոն դոլար, որից 1,45 միլիոնը հատկացրել է իր արտակարգ իրավիճակների հիմնադրամից, իսկ մնացած մասը խնդրում է ֆինանսավորել դոնորներին:

Կապիկների ջրծաղիկը հազվագյուտ վիրուսային վարակ է, որը փոխանցվում է նաև մարդկանց միջև։ Սովորաբար դա թեթև հիվանդություն է, մարդկանց մեծ մասը վերականգնվում է մի քանի շաբաթվա ընթացքում, Բայց ոմանց մոտ հնարավոր են բարդություններ: Նախնական ախտանիշները ներառում են ջերմություն, գլխացավ, մկանային ցավ, մեջքի ցավ, ավշային հանգույցների այտուցվածություն, դող և ուժասպառություն: Կարող է զարգանալ ցան, որը հաճախ սկսվում է դեմքից, այնուհետև տարածվում մարմնի այլ մասերում:
