Управлением участком дороги Баку-Тбилиси-Карс займется грузино-азербайджанская компания

Азербайджан и Грузия создали совместную компанию для управления грузинским участком железнодорожного коридора Баку-Тбилиси-Карс (БТК) – Марабда-Карцахи, сообщает NewsGeorgia.

Учредителями предприятия под названием «BTKI Railways» стали дочерние компании «Азербайджанских железных дорог» и грузинской «Марабда-Карцахи».

По информации азербайджанской стороны, новая компания будет отвечать за эксплуатацию и управление инфраструктурой на отрезке Марабда-Карцахи, а также эффективную организацию грузоперевозок с помощью БТК и привлечение новых грузов.

«Совместные усилия Азербайджана и Грузии посредством этого предприятия также будут направлены на укрепление региональных транспортных связей, особенно потенциала Среднего коридора», - заявили в «Азербайджанских железных дорогах».

В мае текущего года завершились работы по модернизации грузинского участка дороги. Пропускная способность линии увеличилась с 1 млн тонн в год до 5 млн тонн.

Железная дорога Баку-Тбилиси-Карс – логистическая часть коридора, соединяющего Европу и Азию. Проект позволил объединить железнодорожные сети Азербайджана, Грузии и Турции в единый транспортный коридор. 

Эта железнодорожная ветка работает в тестовом режиме с 2017 года. Общая протяженность упомянутого участка ж\д дороги составляет около 830 км.
