1861 թվականին ներքին այրման շարժիչի գյուտը հնարավորություն տվեց մարդկությանը` մտածելու տեղափոխման նոր միջոցների մասին: Եվ մեկ դար էլ չէր անցել, որ մարդկանց ու բեռների տեղափոխման բեռը դարերով կրած ձիերից մնաց միայն ավտոմեքենայի շարժիչի հզորության չափման միավոր ձիաուժը:
Գիտատեխնիկական առաջընթացն իր հետ բերեց նաև լուծում պահանջող խնդիրներ: Մեքենաների աճը ստիպեց, որ Ճանապարհային երթևեկության կանոնակարգումը դառնա պետական մարմինների գործառույթ ու մի ամբողջ գիտություն:
Այս նոր գիտությունն աշխարհի շատ երկրներում հասել է որոշակի հաջողությունների: Սրանք այն երկրներն են, որոնց կոչում ենք քաղաքակիրթ:
Անվտանգային մշակույթը՝ կենսական խնդիր
Մեր հանրապետությունում վիճակն այսպիսին է. վերջին տարիներին ճանապարհատրանսպորտային պատահարներին տարեկան զոհ է դառնում 300 և ավելի մարդ, վիրավորվում՝ չորս հազարից ավելի: Այս թվերի հիմնական մասը երիտասարդներ են, նաև` երեխաներ:
2024 թվականի առաջին կիսամյակում հանրապետությունում գրանցվել է 1946 պատահար, անցած տարվա նույն ժամանակահատվածում` 2090, դրանց հետևանքով այս տարի զոհվել է 147 մարդ, անցած տարի` 142, այս տարի վիրավորվել է 2760 մարդ, անցած տարի` 2918:
Պատահարների պատճառները կարելի է բաժանել երկու խմբի: Առաջին՝ ճանապարհների վատ լուսավորությունը, ճանապարհների թերի վիճակը և թերի կահավորվածությունը: Երկրորդ` մարդկային գործոնը:
