Ուկրաինացի մարտիկները պատերազմում բեկման հույս ունեն: Կուրսկի վրա հարձակումը ռիսկային խաղադրույք է Կիևի համար: Չնայած Կիևում որոշ մեկնաբաններ վախենում են, որ այս հարձակումը շեղել է այն ուժերի գործողությունը, որոնք կարող էին անհրաժեշտ լինել Դոնբասում, զինվորականները ոգևորված են Ռուսաստան ներխուժման անսպասելի հաջողությունից: Իր թշնամու հետ դիմակայությունում Ուկրաինան այլ ելք չուներ, քան պայքարել իր տրամադրության տակ եղած լավագույն զենքով՝ անակնկալ տարրով:
Կիևը ցնցեց հզոր Ռուսաստանը՝ ներխուժելով Կուրսկի մարզում գտնվող իր տարածքի մոտ 1300 քառակուսի կիլոմետր հեռավորության վրա գտնվող 100 բնակավայրեր: Ուկրաինայի Սումիի մարզում՝ Ռուսաստանի հետ սահմանի մոտ, ուկրաինացի մարտիկների շրջանում տրամադրությունը կտրուկ տարբերվում է Արևելյան ճակատում տիրող ցածր տրամադրությունից:
Քանի որ մոսկովյան զորքերը շարունակում էին իրենց հարձակումը Դոնբասի վրա, ռուսական ճակատում ներգրավված զինվորները հույս ունեին, որ «Կուրսկի» գործողությունը շրջադարձային կլինի պատերազմում:
Չնայած Կիևում որոշ մեկնաբաններ մտահոգություն են հայտնել, որ հարձակումը շեղել է Դոնբասում անհրաժեշտ ուժերի գործողությունը, ուկրաինացի զինվորականները շարունակում են ոգևորվել Ռուսաստան ներխուժման անսպասելի հաջողությունից, նախաձեռնության և անակնկալի էֆեկտի իրականացումից, որոնք օգտագործվել են ռազմի դաշտում:
«Ավելին, գործողության առանցքային նպատակներից մեկը՝ թուլացնելը ռուսական զորքերի ճնշումը Դոնբասի վրա՝ ստիպելով Մոսկվային իր ուժերը տեղափոխել Կուրսկը պաշտպանելու համար, դեռ չի իրականացվել»,-ավելացնում է հրատարակությունը։
Թերթը նշում է, որ «ռուսական գրավյալ տարածքների նկատմամբ վերահսկողության պահպանումը հղի է բազմաթիվ վտանգներով»։
