«Երբ նոր էի տեղափոխվել Միացյալ նահանգներ, այդ շրջանում փորձում էի կայանալ այստեղ: Ես ունեի 2 երեխա, որոնց պետք էր կրթություն տալ, ապահովել ամեն ինչով: Աշխատում էի ինձ համար օտար մասնագիտությամբ, բայց ուրիշ ելք չունեի, պետք է աշխատեի: Աշխատում էի ոսկերչական բիզնեսում և առաջին հնարավորության դեպքում, երբ ստացա այն փաստաթղթերը, որոնք պետք էր Հայաստան վերադառնալու համար, 6 տարի անց վերադարձա»,- «Օվկիանոսից այն կողմ» հաղորդման շրջանակներում պատմել է դերասան Ալեքսանդր Խաչատրյանն, ում խոսքով՝ ԱՄՆ մեկնելու հիմնական պատճառը երեխաներին կրթության տալն էր:
«Ես գիտեի, որ իմ մասնագիտության առումով այստեղ ծանր է լինելու, որովհետև կապված էր լեզվի հետ, իսկ ես լեզուն չգիտեի, և այդ տարիքում 0-ից սովորելը դժվար էր: Բացի այդ, այստեղ բարդ է մտնել այդ ասպարեզ, որովհետև շատ փակ է ու մեծ գումարների հետ է կապված:
Առաջին անգամ Հայաստան գալուց հետո, գրեթե ամեն տարի գալիս էի ու պատճառ էի փնտրում, ուզում էի գտնել մի բան, որն ինձ կկապի Հայաստանի հետ: Հող գնեցի, այգի հիմնեցի: Հետո Հայաստանում ինձ հրավիրեցին նկարահանվելու սերիալում, ինչի համար շատ շնորհակալ եմ, ես նկարվեցի ու դրանից հետո ամեն ինչ փոխվեց: 1 տարի էլ պահեցի ոսկերչական բիզնեսը, բայց քանի որ շատ էի լինում Հայաստանում, արդեն անիմաստ էր այն պահել:
7-8 տարի մասնագիտական առումով ոչինչ չանելուց հետո ես էլ էի փոխվել: Զգում էի, որ մեջս շատ բան է կուտակվել, որ ուզում եմ դուրս տալ այդ ամենը: Եվ եղավ վերադարձ դեպի մասնագիտություն, դեպի հայրենիք»,- պատմել է Ալեքսանդր Խաչատրյանն, ում կարծիքով՝ դեռ իր կյանքի ամենակարևոր ու լավ դերը չի խաղացել: «Դեռ կխաղամ այն դերը, որը շատ պետք կլինի հայրենիքիս»,- նշել է նա:
