Ֆրանսիայի աջակցությունը Հայաստանի անկախությանը, տարածքային ամբողջականությանն ու խաղաղության ձգտումներին անսասան է։ Այս մասին հայտարարել է Ֆրանսիայի Եվրոպայի և արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ստեֆան Սեժուրնեն՝ Հայաստան կատարելիք այցին ընդառաջ հղած ուղերձում։
«Ֆրանսիան կանգնած է պատմական գործընկեր, բարեկամական երկիր Հայաստանի կողքին, և մեր աջակցությունը նրա անկախությանը, տարածքային ամբողջականությանը և խաղաղության ձգտումներին անսասան է։
Հայաստանի հետ մեր համագործակցությունն ամուր է, և մենք այն ամրապնդում ենք։ Մենք աջակցում ենք Հայաստանի ռազմավարական ենթակառուցվածքների զարգացմանը՝ երկրի դիմակայունությունն ապահովելու համար։ Մենք համագործակցում ենք նաև պաշտպանության ոլորտում։ «Ֆրանսիա-Հայաստան» նախաձեռնությամբ մենք պաշտպանում ենք նրանց, որոնք ներգրավված են Հայաստանին աջակցելու գործում»,- հայտարարել է Ֆրանսիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարը։
Անդրադառնալով Հայաստան և Մոլդովա կատարելիք այցերին՝ Սեժուրնեն ասել է, որ այցելում է հենց Հայաստան ու Մոլդովա, որովհետև նրանք ընտրել են ժողովրդավարության ու անկախության ուղին, ճանապարհը դեպի Եվրոպա, որոնք բախվում են ապակայունացման փորձերի ու անընդունելի ճնշումների:
