Սփյուռքը մեր երկրի և մեր քաղաքացիների հարստությունն է՝ իր բազմազանությամբ, դերակատարությամբ ու հնարավորություններով, և համապատասխանաբար՝ Հայաստանի Հանրապետությունն աշխարհասփյուռ հայության տունն ու հանգրվանն է՝ անկախ ժամանակից, իշխանություններից, ներքին ու արտաքին զարգացումներից:
«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այդ կարծիքն է հայտնել ՀՀ նախագահ Վահագն Խաչատուրյանը՝ ելույթ ունենալով Համաշխարհային հայկական երկրորդ գագաթնաժողովի բացման արարողության ժամանակ:
«Այսօրինակ միջոցառումները սպասված և ուրախալի հերթական առիթն են միմյանց հանդիպելու, մեր առջև կանգնած խնդիրները բացահայտելու և միասնական ջանքով դրանց լուծումներ գտնելու համար: Մեզ համար միշտ կարևոր է Սփյուռքի մեր հայրենակիցների հետ հանդիպումների յուրաքանչյուր առիթ՝ ձեզ մտահոգող ու հուզող խնդիրներին առավել հանգամանալից ծանոթանալու տեսանկյունից: Այն նաև հիանալի հնարավորություն է քննարկելու մեր երկրի առջև ծառացած արդի մարտահրավերները, դրանց հաղթահարման ուղիները տարբեր ոլորտներում իրականացվող բարեփոխումները, մեր երկրի առաջընթացին ու զարգացմանն առնչվող հարցեր»,- ասել է Խաչատուրյանը:
ՀՀ նախագահի դիտարկմամբ՝ ժամանակի և մեր շուրջը տեղի ունեցող իրադարձությունների անկասելի ընթացքի մեջ, երբ մենք ականատես ենք արագընթաց զարգացումների, տեխնոլոգիաների, գիտության, հաղորդակցության և անգամ աշխարհակարգերի փոփոխությունների, որոնք առաջադրում են նոր մարտահրավերներ և պահանջում նոր լուծումներ ու սկզբունքներ, երբեմն հրամայական է դառնում խմբագրել ավանդական հարաբերություններին ու աշխատակարգերը: Այս առումով միասնական և ուժեղ Սփյուռքը Հայաստանի ամենահզոր դաշնակիցն է:
Խաչատուրյանը հիշեցրել է, որ շատ հաճախ, սփյուռքի հայրենակիցների հետ հանդիպումներում ասում է, որ նրանք մեր երկրի դեսպաններն են ամբողջ աշխարհում, ուստի՝ եթե պատկերավոր ասենք՝ ի դեմս նրանց Հայաստանն ունի աշխարհում ամենամեծ դիվանագիտական ապարատը, քանի որ նրանք լինելով իրենց երկրների արժանավոր և պատասխանատու քաղաքացիներ, միաժամանակ ներկայացնում են նաև այսօրվա Հայաստանը, մեր մշակույթը, ավանդույթներն ու պատմությունը։
