Թաքնված անհանդուրժողականության դեպքում (որը հայտնաբերվում է որոշակի անալիզների միջոցով) նաեւ ավելի լավ է սննդակարգից հեռացնել ցիտրուսային մրգերը։ Նրանք կարող են առաջացնել աուտոիմուն հիվանդություններ, մաշկի ցան, կոգնիտիվ դիսֆունկցիա և քրոնիկական հիվանդություններ:
