2024թ. հոկտեմբերին հյուսիսային կիսագնդում շարունակվում է փոքրանալ արեգակի բարձրությունը հորիզոնից և հետևաբար փոքրանում է ցերեկվա տևողությունը: Զգալիորեն պակասում է երկրի մակերևույթի կողմից ստացվող ջերմության քանակը: Հոկտեմբերին միջին ամսական ջերմաստիճանը +7.9°C է և նախորդ ամսվա համեմատությամբ ցածր է 5°C-ով: Ամսվա ընթացքում դիտվում է ջերմաստիճանի աստիճանական նվազում, առաջին տասնօրյակում միջին տասնօրյակային ջերմաստիճանը կազմում է +9.8°C, երրորդում՝ +5.9°C: Միջին ջերմաստիճանը առավել բարձր է Մեղրիում՝ +15°C, Արարատի, Արմավիրի մարզերում և Երևանում՝ +13°C, Տավուշում՝ +12°C: Ցածր է լեռնային շրջաններում՝ +7°C (Աշոցքում՝ +4°C):

Աշնան առաջին նշանները հանդիսանում են հողի մակերևույթին դիտվող ցրտահարությունները: Ցրտահարություններ հողի մակերևույթին տարածքի մեծ մասում հնարավոր են արդեն ամսվա սկզբին, իսկ օդում ամսվա վերջին: Հատկապես վտանգավոր են վաղ ցրտահարությունները տաք շրջանների համար, որտեղ ջերմաստիճանային ֆոնը դեռևս բարձր է: Արարատյան դաշտում աշնանային ամենավաղ ցրտահարությունները դիտվել են հոկտեմբերի 1-ին և 2-ին, սակայն դրանց հավանականությունը շատ փոքր է:
Հոկտեմբերին ավելանում է տեղումների քանակը, այն հանդիսանում է տարեկան երկրորդ առավելագույնը մայիսից հետո: Ամսական տեղումների միջին քանակը կազմում է 48մմ: Ամենից քիչ տեղումներ դիտվում են Արարատյան դաշտում՝ 23-30մմ, ամենից շատ՝ Լոռիում, Կոտայքում, Գորիսում՝ 50-60 մմ:
Հոկտեմբերին ավելանում է նաև ամպամած օրերի թիվը, որը հատկապես շատ է Գորիսում, բայց պարզ օրերի թիվը դեռևս գերակշռում է: Հարաբերական խոնավությունը որոշ չափով ավելանում է և միջինը կազմում է 65-75%, ցերեկային ժամերին այն հասնում է 40-55%: Հոկտեմբերին մառախուղների հաճախականությունը մի փոքր ավելանում է, հատկապես Զանգեզուրի լեռնաշղթայի արևելյան լանջերին:
Քամու ռեժիմը հանրապետությունում սեպտեմբերի նկատմամբ էապես չի փոխվում, միայն որոշ չափով մեծանում է արևմտյան քամիների հաճախականությունը:
Օդի ամսական միջին ջերմաստիճանը հանրապետության ողջ տարածքում կանխատեսվում է նորմայից բարձր՝ 1-2 աստիճանով, տեղումների քանակը’ նորմային մոտ:
