Правительство Армении на заседании 3 октября утвердило список детских садов и дошкольных учреждений, включенных в программу «Строительство, ремонт или капитальный ремонт 500 детских садов и дошкольных учреждений до 2026 года», и критерии выбора степени вмешательства в строительные работы, установленные для детских садов и дошкольных учреждений, включенных в этот список.

Согласно обоснованию, услуги дошкольного образования не оказываются примерно в 229 населенных пунктах республики. В ряде сельских и приграничных населенных пунктов их либо нет, либо их нет. А ограниченное количество дошкольных учреждений в городских общинах (населенных пунктах) создает очереди по части приема, что также ограничивает доступ к дошкольному образованию.

В Армении проживают 236 000 детей дошкольного возраста, из них 154 000 не посещают дошкольные учреждения.

С целью надлежащего обеспечения зданий и коммунальных инфраструктур дошкольных учреждений в ближайшие годы планируется провести реконструкцию, капитальный ремонт и строительные работы в 500 детских садах и дошкольных учреждениях. Населенные пункты будут иметь современные здания, обеспечены соответствующей инфраструктурой и имуществом, благоустроены дворовые территории и др.
