Այսօր աշխարհի ավելի քան 100 երկրում, այդ թվում` նաեւ Հայաստանում, նշում են Ուսուցչի տոնը:

1994թ.-ին ՅՈՒՆԵՍԿՕ-ի կողմից հոկտեմբերի 5-ը հռչակվել է ուսուցչի եւ ամբողջ կրթական ոլորտում աշխատողների մասնագիտական օր: Իսկ 2 տարի անց` նույն օրը, ՅՈւՆԵՍԿՕ-ի եւ Աշխատանքի միջազգային կազմակերպության կողմից ընդունվում է ուսուցիչների աշխատանքը կարգավորող առաջին միջազգային փաստաթուղթը:

Մեր պատկառանքն ու երախտագիտությունը ձեզ, սիրելի՛ ուսուցիչներ:

Ի՞նչ կմնար մարդկությունից, տե՜ր աստված,
Թե չունենար ուսուցիչներ, դպրոցներ:
Ահա ինչու` ամբողջ հոգով և սրտանց-
Ուսուցիչներ, խոնարհվում եմ ձեր առջև:

Ամեն մարդ էլ… ունի սիրած ուսուցիչ,
Հանճարն անգամ… Ուսուցիչ է ունեցել:
Դուք`անանո՜ւն, ձեր սաները` անվանի:-
Ուսուցիչներ, խոնարհվում եմ ձեր առջև:

Ախ, շա՜տ հաճախ տառապել եք անաղմուկ,
Լույս եք ցանել, բայց հալածվել ու խաչվել:
Տիրողները` շքեղաշո՜ւք, դուք` անշո՜ւք…
Ուսուցիչներ, խոնարհվում եմ ձեր առջև:

Շատ դժվար էր` խավար դարում ձեզ համար:
Այս լույս դարում, օ՜, դժվա՛ր է առավել-
Երեխաներն ամե՛ն ինչ էլ գիտեն լավ…
Ուսուցիչներ, խոնարհվում եմ ձեր առջև:

Թեկուզ կյանքում ապտակել եք նաև ինձ,
Թեկուզ նաև երկուսներ եմ ստացել,
Այնուհանդերձ, այնուհանդերձ, էն գլխից-
Ուսուցիչներ, խոնարհվում եմ ձեր առջև:

Հողագունդը գլոբո՜ւս է հմայիչ,
Բայց ուզում են այն կործանել ու ջարդել:
Հողագնդին հարկավոր է ուսուցիչ…
