Հայաստանն ուսումնասիրում է կորեական K2 «Սև Հովազ» մարտական տանկերի ձեռքբերման հնարավորությունը

ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանը սեպտեմբերին այցելել է Հարավային Կորեա՝ ուսումնասիրելու «Hyundai Rotem» ընկերության կողմից մշակված K2 «Սև Հովազ» մարտական տանկերի ձեռքբերման հնարավորությունը։ «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ այս մասին հայտնում է «Army Recognition» պաշտպանական նորությունների հարթակը՝ հղում անելով հարավկորեական «Չոսուն բիզ» լրատվամիջոցին։
Նշվում է, որ ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարը մասնակցել է սեպտեմբերի 9-ին և 10-ին Հարավային Կորեայի ազգային պաշտպանության նախարարության և արտաքին գործերի նախարարության կողմից կազմակերպված արհեստական բանականությանն առնչվող բարձր մակարդակի հանդիպմանը և բանակցություններ սկսել հարավկորեական զենքի մատակարարման շուրջ՝ հատուկ հետաքրքրություն ցուցաբերելով K2 տանկի նկատմամբ։
Հարավկորեական բանակի կողմից օգտագործվող K2 մարտական տանկը հագեցած է առաջադեմ տեխնոլոգիայով, որը հատկապես արդյունավետ է գործում և լավ համապատասխանում է լեռնային պայմաններին։
K2-ը ձեռք է բերվել այնպիսի երկրների կողմից, ինչպիսիք են Լեհաստանը և Թուրքիան:
Ավելի վաղ, պաշտպանության նախարարությունը հաղորդագրություն էր տարածել, որ Կորեայի Հանրապետություն կատարած աշխատանքային այցի շրջանակում ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սուրեն Պապիկյանը սեպտեմբերի 9-ին մասնակցել է «Պատասխանատու արհեստական բանականություն՝ ռազմական տիրույթում» գագաթնաժողովին։
Միջոցառման շրջանակներում Պապիկյանը հանդիպումներ է ունեցել Կորեայի Հանրապետության պաշտպանության նախարար Շին Վոն-սիկի, Կորեայի Հանրապետության արտաքին գործերի նախարար Չո Տխե Յոլի հետ և քննարկել միջազգային և տարածաշրջանային անվտանգության մարտահրավերներին ու երկկողմ և բազմակողմ հարաբերությունների զարգացմանն առնչվող հարցեր:
