В ООН заявили, что Газа стала местом с наибольшим числом детей с ампутациями

Сектор Газа стал местом с наибольшим числом детей с ампутированными конечностями в новейшей истории. Об этом заявила Лиза Даутен, директор отдела по вопросам финансирования и партнерства Управления ООН по координации гуманитарных вопросов (УКГВ).
«Каждый день, по данным БАПОР (Ближневосточного агентства ООН для помощи палестинским беженцам и организации работ), 10 детей теряют одну или обе ноги. Газа стала местом с наибольшим числом детей в новейшей истории, прошедших ампутацию», - сказала она на заседании Совета Безопасности ООН по гуманитарной ситуации в секторе Газа.
Помимо этого, указала представитель УКГВ, в секторе Газа у женщин в три раза выше риск выкидыша и смерти.
Ситуация на Ближнем Востоке резко обострилась после проникновения 7 октября 2023 года вооруженных сторонников ХАМАС из сектора Газа на израильскую территорию, сопровождавшегося убийствами жителей приграничных населенных пунктов и захватом более 240 заложников. В ответ Израиль начал военную операцию в анклаве с целью уничтожения военных и политических структур ХАМАС и освобождения всех похищенных. Боевые действия в секторе Газа продолжаются по сей день.
