Հոկտեմբերի 17-ին Ն.Ս.Օ.Տ.Տ. Գարեգին Երկրորդ Ծայրագույն Պատրիարք և Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսն ընդունեց Վատիկանի և Եկեղեցիների Համաշխարհային Խորհրդի (ԵՀԽ) ներկայացուցիչներին՝ ուղեկցությամբ Մայր Աթոռի Միջեկեղեցական հարաբերությունների բաժնի տնօրեն Հոգեշնորհ Տ․ Գարեգին վարդապետ Համբարձումյանի։

Հանդիպման սկզբում Հայր Սուրբը Նորին Սրբությանը ներկայացրեց, որ Վատիկանի և ԵՀԽ-ի կողմից 2026 թ. հունվարի 18-25-ը կայանալիք ամենամյա քրիստոնյաների միասնության աղոթքի շաբաթը նվիրվելու է Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ Եկեղեցուն, որի ընթացքում ողջ աշխարհի քրիստոնյաներն աղոթք կբարձրացնեն հանուն քրիստոնեական միության և համերաշխության, ինչպես նաև  Հայաստանի և հայրենազրկված արցախահայերի։ Հայր Գարեգինը տեղեկություններ փոխանցեց Վատիկանի և ԵՀԽ-ի միջազգային և Մայր Աթոռի տեղական կազմակերպչական հանձնախմբերի կողմից աղոթքի շաբաթվա նախապատրաստական աշխատանքների ընթացքի մասին։

Նորին Սրբությունը, իր օրհնությունը բերելով հանձախմբի անդամներին, կարևորեց քրիստոնեական Եկեղեցիների և կառույցների աղոթակցությունը Հայ Եկեղեցուն հատկապես հայ ժողովրդի և Հայաստանի համար այս ծանր ու դժվարին օրերին։

Հայոց Հայրապետը նշեց, որ հայորդիները,  հավատքով ներշնչված և աղոթքի զորությանն ապավինած, մշտապես կարողացել են դիմագրավել բոլոր փորձություններն ու մարտահրավերները։ Այս առիթով Նորին Սրբությունը կարևոր նկատեց քրիստոնյաների միասնության աղոթքի շաբաթվա նախաձեռնությունը և հույս հայտնեց, որ աղոթքով հայցված երկնապարգև շնորհներով առավել կզորանան հավատքը, հույսն ու սերն ինչպես մեր ժողովրդի, այնպես էլ դժվարությունների ու փորձությունների մեջ գտնվող ողջ մարդկության կյանքում։

Հանդիպմանը հանձնախմբի անդամներն ընդգծեցին, որ իրենց այցը Հայաստան դարձավ յուրօրինակ ուխտագնացություն, որի ընթացքում  առիթ ունեցան ի մոտո ծանոթանալու հայ քրիստոնեական պատմական սրբավայրերին, հայ ժողովրդի պատմությանը, այլև երկրում առկա իրավիճակին և արցախահայերի դժվարին կացությանը։

Վերջում Վատիկանի և ԵՀԽ ներկայացուցիչներն իրենց երախատգիտությունը հայտնեցին Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսին Մայր Աթոռում հյուրընկալության և հանձնախմբի աշխատանքներին, ըստ ամենայնի, աջակցության համար։
