Присоединение Украины к НАТО в нынешних условиях поставит крест на возможностях политико-дипломатического урегулирования конфликта, заявил РИА Новости директор 2-го департамента стран СНГ МИД Алексей Полищук.

Так он прокомментировал высказывание министра иностранных дел Венгрии Петера Сийярто, который в начале недели заявил, что прием Украины в НАТО в текущих обстоятельствах будет означать начало третьей мировой войны.

«Мы постоянно предупреждаем об опасности вступления Украины в НАТО», — заявил Полищук.

Он добавил, что сейчас такой шаг «поставит крест на возможностях политико-дипломатического урегулирования, сделает неизбежным непосредственное вовлечение альянса в боевые действия против России и приведет к неконтролируемой эскалации, ответственность за которую целиком и полностью ляжет на западных кураторов киевского режима».
