Խնկո Ապերը՝ հայկական կրթության «Անահիտ զարթոնք»

Աթաբեկ Խնկոյանը, ով առավել հայտնի է որպես Խնկո Ապեր, իր մեծ ավանդն է ունեցել հատկապես մանկական գրականության մեջ։
Խնկո Ապերը գրել է առակներ, լեգենդներ, հեքիաթներ, բանաստեղծություններ, պոեմներ։
Իսկ ինչո՞ւ են նրան ասել Խնկո Ապեր.
Աթաբեկ Խնկոյանին անվանել են Խնկո Ապեր հիմնականում նրա սրտացավ վերաբերմունքի համար իր ժողովրդի և կրթական գործին ունեցած նվիրվածության համար: Խնկո Ապերը մանկավարժ և գրող էր, ով մեծ նշանակություն էր դարձնում երեխաների կրթությանը և դաստիարակությանը։ Նրա սրտացավ վերաբերմունքը, հայրական մոտեցումը և հոգատարությունը երեխաների նկատմամբ ձևավորել են նրա “Խնկո Ապեր” անունը, ինչը նշանակում է “հոգատար եղբայր”: Նա իր կյանքն ու գործունեությունը նվիրել է կրթության և գրականության զարգացմանը, ինչը հայկական հասարակության կողմից մեծապես գնահատվել է։
Այսօր Խնկո Ապոր ծննդյան օրն է։

Աթաբեկ Խնկոյանի (Խնկո Ապեր) կյանքից մի հետաքրքիր պատմություն կա, որը փաստում է նրա նվիրումն ու սրտացավությունը երեխաների նկատմամբ։
Պատմում են, որ մի անգամ Խնկո Ապերը, լինելով ուսուցիչ գյուղական մի դպրոցում, նկատում է, որ իր աշակերտներից մեկը՝ մի փոքրիկ տղա, հաճախ գալիս է դպրոց առանց անհրաժեշտ գրենական պիտույքների՝ տետրերի ու գրիչների: Նա չէր ցանկանում պատժել տղային կամ կշտամբել, քանի որ հասկանում էր, որ երեխայի ծնողները միգուցե պարզապես չունեն ֆինանսական միջոցներ դրանք գնելու համար:
Մի օր Խնկո Ապերը իր մոտ է կանչում տղային և առանց նրան նեղություն պատճառելու, խնամքով հարցնում է, թե ինչու է միշտ առանց տետրերի գալիս: Տղան ամաչելով ասում է, որ ընտանիքը շատ աղքատ է և նրանք չեն կարող իրեն անհրաժեշտ իրեր գնել: Խնկո Ապերը, հասկանալով իրավիճակը, գնում է քաղաքի միակ գրախանութը և սեփական միջոցներով գնում է տղայի համար գրքեր, տետրեր և գրիչներ: Հետո նա դրանք տալիս է տղային և ասում՝ «Սրանք քեզ եմ տալիս, քանի որ գիտեմ, որ կսովորես ավելի լավ ու ավելի մեծ մարդ կդառնաս»:
Խնկո Ապերը ոչ միայն ուսուցիչ էր, այլև հոգատար մարդ, ով հասկանում էր իր աշակերտների կարիքները և պատրաստ էր օգնել նրանց կյանքում առաջ գնալ։
Ինչպես ասում են՝ կա նաև մեդալի հակառակ կողմը.
Աթաբեկ Խնկոյանի կյանքից ևս մի հետաքրքիր դեպք կա, որն էլ արտահայտում է նրա բարոյական արժեքներն ու սկզբունքները։
Պատմում են, որ մի անգամ Խնկո Ապերը ուսուցանում էր մի դպրոցում, որտեղ հաճախ էին գալիս ծնողներ՝ իրենց երեխաների համար հովանավորություն խնդրելու: Մի ծնող, ով բարեկեցիկ կյանք էր վարում, առաջարկում է Խնկո Ապերին ֆինանսական օգնություն՝ իր որդուն «հատուկ» ուշադրություն դարձնելու համար: Տղան բավականին լավ ընտանիքից էր, սակայն աչքի ընկնում էր իր ծուլությսմբ և վատ էր սովորում։ Ծնողը ակնկալում էր, որ Աթաբեկ Խնկոյանը հատուկ մոտեցում կցուցաբերի իր որդուն՝ միաժամանակ ընդունելով նվիրատվություն:
Խնկո Ապերը, լսելով այս առաջարկը, հանգիստ, բայց հաստատապես մերժում է այն՝ ասելով.
«Գրականության ու գիտելիքի ոլորտում ոչ ոք հովանավորչության կարիք չունի: Այստեղ ամեն ինչ արդար է, և յուրաքանչյուր երեխա ստանում է այն, ինչին արժանի է իր աշխատանքով ու ջանքերով»:
Այս պատասխանը ցույց է տալիս Խնկո Ապերի բարոյական դիրքորոշումը՝ հավասարության և արդարության հանդեպ։ Նա չէր ընդունում կաշառք կամ հատուկ վերաբերմունք, անկախ հանգամանքներից և ուսուցման գործընթացում առաջնահերթությունը միշտ տալիս էր արդարությանը և երեխաների իրական կարողություններին ու ջանքերին։
