ԱՄՆ-ն գոհ է տեսնել, որ Հայաստանը և Ադրբեջանը կայուն առաջընթաց են գրանցել խաղաղության պայմանագրի վերջնական ձևակերպման ուղղությամբ, ինչը կկարգավորի Երևանի և Բաքվի միջև հարաբերությունները. այս մասին, ինչպես գրում են ադրբեջանական պետական լրատվամիջոցները, ասվում է ԱՄՆ նախագահ Ջո Բայդենի՝ Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևին ուղղված նամակում:
«Ցանկանում եմ վստահեցնել, որ Միացյալ Նահանգները պատրաստ է աջակցել Ադրբեջանի և Հայաստանի միջև կայուն և արժանապատիվ խաղաղությանը, որը վերջնականապես վերջ կդնի բազմադարյա հակամարտությանը:
Խաղաղության պայմանագիրը ոչ միայն կապահովի Ադրբեջանի ինքնիշխանությունն ու տարածքային ամբողջականությունը, այլև կվերափոխի ամբողջ տարածաշրջանը՝ ճանապարհ հարթելով Եվրոպայի և Կենտրոնական Ասիայի միջև առևտրի, ներդրումների և կապի ավելացման համար», - ասվում է նամակում:
ԱՄՆ նախագահն ընդգծել է, որ այն ֆոնին, երբ COP29 միջազգային համաժողովի կապակցությամբ աշխարհի ուշադրությունը սևեռված է Բաքվի վրա, Ադրբեջանը բացառիկ հնարավորություն ունի միջազգային հանրությանն ի ցույց դնելու իր հանձնառությունը խաղաղությանը:
«Ինչպես գիտեք, խաղաղության պայմանագրի մնացած հոդվածների վերջնականացումը կպահանջի ստեղծագործական մոտեցում և փոխզիջում բոլոր կողմերից: Բայց ես վստահ եմ, որ դուք կշարունակեք հանդիպումները, և ես կոչ եմ անում այս տարի վերջնականացնել պայմանագիրը:
Ուզում եմ իմ հանձնառությունը հայտել՝ աջակցելու այս հարցին։ Իմ վարչակազմը հավատարիմ է համարձակ նախաձեռնություններին, որոնք ճանապարհ կհարթեն դեպի խաղաղություն: Իմ խնդրանքով իմ հատուկ օգնական, Եվրոպայի գծով գլխավոր տնօրեն Մայքլ Քարփենթերը կտեղեկացնի կոնկրետ քայլերի մասին, որոնք մենք պատրաստ ենք ձեռնարկել և կպարզի ձեր դիրքորոշումը Հայաստանի հետ բանակցությունների վերաբերյալ։ Հուսով եմ, կօգտվեք այս հնարավորությունից՝ տարածաշրջանի համար ընդհանուր բարգավաճման և ընդհանուր բարօրության նոր ուղի գծելու համար», - եզրափակել է Բայդենը:
