D վիտամինի պակասը կարող է շաքարախտի պատճառ դառնալ

Կանադայի ՄըքԳիլի համալսարանի գիտնականները պարզել են՝ ինչու է D վիտամինի պակասը վաղ տարիքում առնչվում աուտոիմուն հիվանդություններին, դրանց թվում՝ շաքարախտի բարձր ռիսկի հետ: Հետազոտության արդյունքները հրապարակվել են Science Advances (SciAdv) բժշկագիտական հանդեսում:
Գիտնականները պարզաբանել են, որ D վիտամինի պակասը արագացնում է ուրցագեղձի ծերացումը՝ իմունային համակարգի T բջիջների հասունացման և մարզման համար պատասխանատու օրգան, որտեղ տեղի է ունենում T-լիմֆոցիտների հասունացումը, տարբերակումն ու իմունաբանական «ուսուցումը»:
Ուրցագեղձն առանցքային դեր է խաղում երեխաների իմունիտետի ձևավորման գործում՝ օգնելով բջիջներին տարբերել մարմնի սեփական հյուսվածքները վնասակար միկրոօրգանիզմներից: Սակայն տարիքի հետ ուրցագեղձը դառնում է ավելի քիչ արդյունավետ, ինչը կարող է հանգեցնել խափանումների, որոնց դեպքում բջիջները սխալմամբ հարձակվում են առողջ հյուսվածքների վրա՝ մեծացնելով աուտոիմուն հիվանդությունների զարգացման ռիսկը, ինչպիսին է առաջին տեսակի շաքարախտը:
«Մեր հետազոտությունը կարող է հիմք ծառայել աուտոիմուն հիվանդությունների կանխարգելման նոր ռազմավարությունների համար»,-նշել է է ՄըկքԳիլի համալսարանի ֆիզիոլոգիայի ամբիոնի վարիչ, հետազոտության առաջատար հեղինակը Ջոն Ուայթը: Թեև փորձերն արվել են մկների վրա, սակայն գիտնականն ընդգծել է, որ արդյունքները վերաբերում են նաև մարդկանց, քանի որ ուրցագեղձը երկու տեսակների նկատմամբ էլ միանման է գործում։
Հետազոտությունը միաժամանակ ընդգծում է D վիտամինի բավարար ընդունման կարևորությունը, հատկապես երեխաների համար: Արևի սահմանափակ ազդեցություն ունեցող տարածքներում ձմռան ամիսներին հավելումներ ընդունելն առողջության պահպանման համար թերևս խիստ կարևոր է: Ուայթը նշել է, որ ծնողները պետք է խորհրդակցեն բժշկի հետ՝ համոզվելու համար, որ իրենց երեխաները բավարար քանակությամբ D վիտամին են ստանում:
Հանձնարարականները հիմնված են 2001 թվականի ֆիննական հետազոտության տվյալների վրա, որոնք ցույց են տվել, որ D վիտամինի հավելումներ ստացած երեխաների շրջանում շաքարախտի զարգացման վտանգը հինգ անգամ ցածր է:
