3,26 մլրդ տարի առաջ երկնաքարի բախումը բարենպաստ է դարձել Երկրի վրա կյանքի համար
ՀԱՆՐԱՀԱՅՏ ՄՈԼՈՐՈՒԹՅՈՒՆՆԵՐՍեղմեք ԱՅՍՏԵՂ, լրացրեք օնլայն հայտը և մոռացեք հոսանքի վարձի մասին
Հեռավոր անցյալում երկնաքարերը հաճախ հարվածում էին Երկիր մոլորակին՝ թողնելով ավերածությունների և վերափոխման հետքեր: Այդպիսի երկնաքարերից մեկը S2-ն էր, որն ընկել է Երկրի վրա 3,26 միլիարդ տարի առաջ՝ իր ետևից թողնելով երկրաբանական ապացույցներ, որոնք այսօր կարելի է գտնել Հարավային Աֆրիկայի Բարբերթոն Գրինսթոուն գոտու լեռնաշխարհում:
Երկրաբան Նաջա Դրաբոնն ու նրա թիմը մանրակրկիտ ուսումնասիրել են տարածաշրջանում հավաքված ապարների նմուշները և վերլուծել դրանց նստվածքաբանությունը, երկրաքիմիան և ածխածնի իզոտոպների կազմը: Դրա շնորհիվ գիտնականներին հաջողվել է վերականգնել պատկերը, թե ինչ է տեղի ունեցել այն օրը, երբ Էվերեստ լեռան չորս չափերն ունեցող երկնաքարն ընկել է Երկրի վրա:
«Պատկերացրեք, որ կանգնած եք Քեյփ Քոդի ափին, ծանծաղ ջրի մեջ։ Այն առանց ուժեղ հոսանքների միջավայր է։ Եվ հանկարծ հսկա ցունամին հարվածում է ձեզ և ճեղքում ծովի հատակը»,- ասել է Դրաբոն:
S2 երկնաքարն առաջացրել է ցունամի, որը ցամաքից առարկաներ է նետել ափամերձ տարածքներ։ Հարվածից առաջացած շոգը հանգեցրել է օվկիանոսի վերին շերտի տաքացման, նաև տաքացրել է մթնոլորտը: Փոշու հաստ ամպը ծածկել է տարածաշրջանը՝ դադարեցնելով ֆոտոսինթետիկ ակտիվությունը։
Այնուամենայնիվ, բակտերիաները բավականաչափ դիմացկուն են եղել և արագ վերականգնվել են: Դրաբոնի թիմի վերլուծությունը ցույց է տվել, որ բակտերիաների կյանքը արագ վերականգնվել է, որին հաջորդել է միաբջիջ օրգանիզմների պոպուլյացիաների կտրուկ աճը, որոնք սնվում են ֆոսֆոր և երկաթ պարունակող տարրերով:
Երկաթը, հավանաբար, վերը նշված ցունամիի պատճառով է բարձրացել օվկիանոսի հատակից ծանծաղ ջրերի մեջ, մինչդեռ ֆոսֆորը Երկիր է բերվել հենց երկնաքարի միջոցով և ցամաքի վրա ավելացող եղանակային ազդեցության և էրոզիայի շնորհիվ:
Դրաբոնի վերլուծությունը ցույց է տալիս, որ երկաթ նյութափոխանակող բակտերիաները հարվածից անմիջապես հետո սկսել են բազմանալ: Այս տեղաշարժը դեպի երկաթը նախընտրող բակտերիաներ, թեև կարճատև է, սակայն Երկրի վրա վաղ կյանքը նկարագրող գլուխկոտրուկի առանցքային մասն է:
«Մենք կարծում ենք, որ երկնաքարի բախման դեպքերը վնասակար են կյանքի համար: Բայց այս ուսումնասիրությունն ընդգծում է, որ երկնաքարերը կարող են օգտակար լինել կյանքի համար, հատկապես վաղ փուլերում… նրանք իրականում կարող են հնարավորություն ստեղծել, որ կյանքը ծաղկի»,- ասել է Դրաբոնը:
